Minimum Qualifications • BS/MS EE with 3-5+ years overall experience • Solid EE fundamentals, grounded in a proven understanding of E&M physics and first principles • Experience in circuit design and debug for a variety of domains including power, digital, analog, high-speed communications, programmable logic, and/or wireless • Exposure to numerical modeling, simulation, and analysis tools such as SPICE, 2D/3D field solvers, power & signal integrity • Schematic capture and constraint-drive PCB layout using Cadence tools or similar • Experience with PCB bringup and debug, including new or custom silicon, using standard EE lab equipment: Soldering, DMM, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills in English and Chinese Preferred Qualifications • Demonstrated ability to understand technology and debug problems at varying levels of abstraction, from the system-level down to the silicon/transistor level • Solid understanding of design and validation requirements for common low-speed and high-speed digital interfaces: I2C/SMBus, SPI, JTAG, I2S/TDM, USB, MIPI, PCIe, HDMI, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, Ethernet, DDR Memory • Solid understanding of power design, especially DC-DC power design, debug and characterization. • Understand how FW interacts with HW, with experience of FW/HW joint debug • Know about wireless technology and circuitry • Understanding of computer architecture and design tradeoffs • Automation and data manipulation script development using Python, Lua, and Bash • Data analysis and visualization using Python, Tableau, JMP, R, and/or Matlab • Beyond technical capability, we prize curiosity, creativity, integrity, leadership, collaboration, and a passion for learning

Routine responsibilities also include factory build support, and multi-disciplinary multi-functional collaboration and negotiation. We are looking for well-rounded candidates with a broad set of skill and interests, and the curiosity to dig deep wherever vital to tackle challenging problems. Opportunities exist to sample a variety of technology areas, and to remain general or specialize over time, developing domain expertise.

Bring up iPhone/iPad modem systems in close collaboration with other baseband teams and hardware teams. Build, develop and optimize firmware control and adaption algorithm to improve field performance, factory yield and testability. Making validation plan and validate the cellular firmware on different platforms.
- You will support product requirements for iPhone/iPad/Mac/Apple Watch/AppleTV/Apple Vision Pro - Bring-up, verification, and triage of new hardware platforms - Work cooperatively with other parts of Apple to diagnose and triage new product introduction (NPI) issues in factory. - You will work with cross-functional teams and help delivering high quality software at fundamental layer of operating system including frameworks, daemons, drivers for both factory and consumers. - You need to keep security and performance in mind, enabling key features while protecting privacy and preventing fraudulence. - Working on technology you will have the opportunity to have a major impact on the implementation and quality of Apple's next generation products. - Up to 10-20% travel.
