工作职责
What the Role Entails Responsibilities Advise on a wide range of legal and commercial matters, including cloud services, AI, technology licensing, open source software, and export control compliance. Draft, review, and negotiate complex software licensing, cloud services, cloud infrastructure, channel distribution agreements, and other general commercial agreements. Collaborate with external counsel and other Tencent attorneys worldwide (around 500 lawyers) , including in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the EU, the UK and the US, to provide compliance and regulatory analysis for international business initiatives. Identify potential legal risks, compliance gaps and regulatory challenges, and prepare creative, practical solutions to help business teams mitigate risks. Develop, implement and monitor internal compliance policies, knowledge management systems , and processes to address compliance issues, ensuring alignment with international regulatory standards. Create and deliver online training materials to educate business stakeholders and product teams on evolving laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Advise management on the implications of legal and regulatory developments. Who We Look For Qualifications We would like our candidate to have: 5-7 years of experience working in a law firm or in‑house legal department in the areas of technology, online platforms, cloud services, software development, or similar industry sectors. Strong academic credentials and membership in a relevant Bar, or possession of other recognized professional qualifications or equivalent membership. A second degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar subject is an advantage. A track record of making sound business judgments and the ability to deliver practical, commercially‑friendly, and comprehensive advice. Detail‑oriented, with extensive experience in legal compliance, commercial matters, intellectual property, and licensing transactions in cloud computing, AI, technology development, and bespoke tech projects. The ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment, independently manage day‑to‑day compliance work, and handle the end‑to‑end transaction process from initial contract review through to negotiation and execution. Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Litigation Counsel to join our legal team in Saudi Arabia. This role will primarily support various business lines on a wide range of contentious dispute matters, including civil, commercial, administrative litigation, labor arbitration & litigation, and other ADR proceedings. The ideal candidate shall be capable of handling dispute resolution cases independently, and play a key role in designing and managing litigation strategy, providing practical legal advice to management and headquarters, and coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders as well as external counsel. Key Responsibilities: 1.Manage and oversee various litigation matters, including commercial disputes, labor cases, and other contentious proceedings across Saudi Arabia 2.Develop litigation strategies Review and analyze claims, evidence, and legal documents to support case preparation and decision-making 3.Represent the company in interactions with courts, arbitration centers, and relevant authorities where applicable 4.Maintain an adequate and high-quality resource pool of external law firms, and work closely with external counsel to ensure effective case handling 5.Provide proactive legal advice to business teams on dispute risks and mitigation strategies 6.Coordinate internally with cross-functional teams on dispute-related matters 7.Monitor legal developments and provide updates on litigation trends and regulatory changes

What the Role Entails Tencent is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel focusing on overseas advertising platform and public welfare initiatives. As one of the key members in the Tencent overseas legal team, you will have an exciting opportunity to support international business, products and platforms in the areas of advertising, open-source software and AI across multiple jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities Advise on the legal and compliance aspects of overseas advertising platforms, including product features, platform governance, advertiser onboarding, ad review workflows, user-facing disclosures, and cross-border launches Build and improve the compliance framework for the overseas advertising business, including policies, standard operating procedures, risk assessments, approval workflows, training, and knowledge management. Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including advertiser, agency, ad-tech, vendor, media-buying, and platform service agreements, as well as data-related and general commercial contracts. Conduct legal assessments and market entry research covering advertising and marketing regulation, consumer protection, privacy and data protection, content moderation, and sector-specific requirements. Provide strategic, end-to-end legal and compliance support for the global expansion and implementation of overseas public welfare initiatives, including contract review, legal risk assessment, governance support and other legal work across the project lifecycle. Collaborate with external counsel and other Tencent attorneys based around the world, including in mainland China, Singapore, the EU, the US and other relevant jurisdictions, to provide practical compliance and regulatory analysis for international business initiatives. Who We Look For Key expectations and criteria: Education: Exceptional academic credentials, including an advanced law degree from a prestigious, internationally recognized law school. Admission to practice in a major overseas jurisdiction is strongly preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience gained at leading international law firms and/or multinational corporations. Proven experience in advertising, media, platform businesses, commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, and cross-border legal matters is strongly preferred. Compliance Systems Experience: Hands-on experience in building or enhancing compliance frameworks, including policies, template documentation, approval workflows, training programs, and knowledge management tools, with the ability to drive operational efficiency in line with both international standards and local regulatory requirements. Business Judgment: Sound business acumen with the ability to deliver practical, commercially pragmatic, and comprehensive legal advice in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted, effective relationships with business stakeholders across different functions and levels. Independence & Project Management: Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize competing demands, and manage end-to-end project processes—from initial legal assessment and contract negotiation through to implementation and post-launch risk management.
