You will be responsible for validating the performance and functional aspects of Wireless on Apple products from a user experience perspective throughout their development lifecycle, from early prototypes to post-release phases. Your role will also involve ensuring that Wireless on Apple products remains at the forefront of technological advancements. You'll conduct in-depth analysis and proposing improvements to innovative technologies developed at Apple through focused experiments and real-world engineering analysis to improve overall end-user connectivity experiences. Key Responsibilities Include: -Developing and running Wi-Fi test plans with a primary focus on user experience to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance. -Performing failure analysis to identify hardware or software issues through laboratory and field experiments. -Conducting in-depth Wi-Fi/BT analysis of hardware, software, and system issues, including protocol stack analysis (PHY, MAC, Network, and Application layers). -Generating comprehensive system performance test reports that include key performance indicators, highlighting critical issues, and providing a concise, data-driven summary for senior management review. -Applying your data-driven expertise and deep engineering knowledge to influence program decisions. -Collaborating with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
In your lead role you will be the owner of all aspects of EE hardware design including, circuit/board design and validation. As part of a system team, you will work alongside system integrator and technology focused engineers who are subject matter experts of their fields. You will be responsible for integrating various core features of the product such as mics, speakers, display, cameras, and sensors, improving overall system quality, working with software/product design engineers to optimize product performance, and debugging complex systemic problems. You will be involved in projects from concept through production, gaining exposure to the complete design lifecycle. You will also support engineering builds gaining experience with high volume manufacturing.
You will be collaborating across RD departments and Manufacturing site to design, build, validate and optimize baseband hardware circuits and systems for Apple products from first prototype build to mass production, requiring proactive cross-functional cooperation with other engineering groups such as other EE teams, FW, AP, RF, production test etc. Help to implement validation plans for digital interfaces such as SIM, I2C, PCIe, SPMI, RFFE etc. Debug and troubleshoot baseband hardware and interfaces. International and domestic travel is likely.
