• Join the NPI (New Product Introduction) build support activities on the ground to get familiar with the hardware. • HW validation hands on once being familiar with iPhone hardware. • Lead a CM HW validation team and review their deliveries daily. • Communicate validation progress/status with US VPM (Validation Program Manager) and Hardware Leads to prioritize project tasks and identify and mitigate technical risks. • Build relationships with multi-functional development teams in the US and China in order to integrate their feedback into the daily validation tasks. • Invent and implement creative improvements on validation tools and process

Conduct system SI design reviews. Execute system bring-up, debugging, failure analysis, and triage. Perform tests and measurements using lab instruments to debug and validate end-to-end IO interface designs. Support factory engineering build activities, which includes traveling to manufacturing sites. Develop and implement factory test stations, write test scripts, analyze test data, and provide actionable design feedback.
Participate in the development of next generation iPhone from concept to MP System integration for rigid board and flexible printed circuit to initialize and refine the design with cross functional teams Support various engineering builds from Prototype, EVT to PVT as technical expert, represent the EE team in a fast-paced and multi-functional team environment Identify EE related issues in the field and drive corresponding resolutions Test development to cover connectivity, functionality, power consumption and reliability Lead and manage our contract manufacturer’s EE team
• Lead on product prototyping and factory manufacturing for MLB (main logic board) and Flex globally • Establish and manage build material readiness, schedule, critical path, and risks • Lead cross-functional collaboration, including Product Design, Electrical engineer, CE, DFM, wireless, Flex, reliability and operations • Drive components vendors and iPhone SMT factories day-to-day activities to meet project objectives and work closely with system EPM on system integration needs • Drive day-to-day build material readiness and manage build goal and matrix • Plan and execute product prototype builds • Communicate and present in various forums to wide ranges of audiences • Understand and deal well with rapid development cycles.
