• Building prototypes to validate function, manufacturability, and robustness • Analyze data generated from builds and lab experiments • Perform design evaluation through analytical tools such as FEA, tolerance analysis…etc. • Work with cross functional teams to evaluate and develop supply chains feasibility and capability • Interacting with vendors to develop manufacturing processes and tooling concepts • Define testing requirements and equipment and analyze the data produced • Support build activities including finding root cause for failures and solutions for issues that impede build progress
In this highly visible role, you will utilize your mechanical design engineering skills to bring products to the market. Your responsibilities as Mechanical engineers is to design next generation of input device products, portable and desktop computers, and modules to support the Mac and iOS product lines. Your responsibilities will span from technology development, concept generation to detailed design, analysis and testing through mass production ramp. - developing initial product layouts and new technology concepts - detailed design of mechanisms and sensors - support technology investigations and development - building prototypes to validate function, manufacturability, and robustness - perform FEA or coordinate FEA activities to evaluate and optimize design concepts - analyze data generated from builds and lab experiments - participate in design reviews to generate and receive constructive feedback - perform tolerance analyses to predict performance of mechanisms, sensors, and cosmetic - create specifications, detailed design and 2D documentation of all parts and assemblies - work with operations teams to evaluate and develop supply chains capable of - manufacturing new subsystems and products - interacting with vendors to develop manufacturing processes and tooling concepts - define testing requirements and equipment and analyze the data produced - support build activities including finding root cause for failures and solutions for issues that impede build progress
• Research into materials and component technologies to evaluate development opportunities. • Design features and test to meet program objectives. • Conduct test failure analysis and solution validation to complete successful product development. • Detail part design and product documentation. • Field failure analysis and solution evaluation for production product issues. A day in the life As a Sustaining PD Engineer intern you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of post ramp qualification, field return failure analysis and design/ production yield improvement initiatives. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment
Support build activities including finding root cause for failures and solutions for issues that impede build progress. Building prototypes to validate function, manufacturability, and reliability. Analyze data generated from builds and design of experiments. Participate in design reviews to generate and receive constructive feedback. Perform tolerance analyses to predict performance of mechanisms, sensors, and cosmetic. Create specifications, detailed design and 2D documentation of parts and assemblies. Work with operations teams to evaluate and develop supply chains capable of manufacturing new subsystems and products. Interacting with vendors to develop manufacturing processes and tooling concepts.
We invent the next generation of the world's finest consumer electronics. As a member of our Audio Product Design team, you would conceive, design, test, solve problems, and bring into production products that re-define the music experience. We work closely with many different multi-functional teams including Industrial Design, Audio Engineering, Radio Frequency, Safety, Hardware Engineering, EMC, Operations and Marketing. Expertly integrating so many different pieces into brand-new products means every single day is different. - Support build activities including finding root cause for failures and solutions for issues that impede build progress. - Building prototypes to validate function, manufacturability, and reliability. - Analyze data generated from builds and design of experiments. - Participate in design reviews to generate and receive constructive feedback. - Perform tolerance analyses to predict performance of mechanisms, sensors, and cosmetic. - Create specifications, detailed design and 2D documentation of parts and assemblies. - Work with operations teams to evaluate and develop supply chains capable of manufacturing new subsystems and products. - Interacting with vendors to develop manufacturing processes and tooling concepts.
