Camera EE System Integration Engineer is responsible for camera module validation and FA of Camera Electrical Hardware related to objectives in-region. Investigating and establishing electrical solutions for camera modules & sub-system integration execution E2E from development boards to in systems. Interface as in-region support of new camera module development board bring-up and initialization. Join in early stage product scoping, prototype hardware, technology development and board/sub-system bring-up through early hardware and mock-ups. Assist camera EE engineers for failure analysis, solution space proposals and design optimization. Liaison with in-region cross functional partners for camera debug/failure analysis. (i.e system and other teams) Board level electrical validation and performance characterization. Self develop as an camera firmware power user to create and edit python scripts with available camera ISP controls and functions. Conduct data analysis and document results

Develop new test equipment and procedures for camera module validation and production test. Lead Apple vendor and X-functional teams to resolve critical electrical, signal and power integrity issues Lead implementation for camera sub-system with challenging component and system requirements. Develop electronic testing prototypes for new camera features and product concepts Optics / images processing and testing knowledge would be a plus.
Work with equipment vendors to design the perfect equipment from scratch for calibrating and verifying the performance of Apple products Specify and acquire instruments, components and tools for use in an NPI environment Run simulations or experiments to make data-driven decisions and present results to senior management Design, develop, debug and optimize algorithms to meet the accuracy and precision requirements for camera calibration and performance verification Cooperate with cross-functional & multidisciplinary teams to specify and deploy calibration and performance verification stations with integrated hardware system, software, and algorithm throughout the NPI cycle Generate reports that analyze large amounts of NPI camera performance data
Summary of the position This position in the Camera Engineering Team will focus on driving the design and engineering of various optical systems such as camera lenses, automotive glass parts through the use of state-of-the-art optical simulation tools and innovative technologies. This role will participant all aspect of design work from early architecture to final product assessment. As optics is linked to a variety of physical phenomena such as mechanics, fluid dynamics or thermals, the engineer will need to understand various aspects of the product design and think at the system level. The engineer will provide actionable feedback and design guidelines to the team members. Lab work is a component of the position especially for the characterization of lenses and coatings. This role involves collaboration with designers, engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams and requires the ability to distill highly technical information and effectively communicate with other teams and management.
