EE tasks in the factory including HW testing(coverage, debugging and data review), HW validation, failure analysis, and cross-team support for HW issues. Design tasks including development board, main board, flex and misc HW modules. Management and training of manufacturers’ EE team for above tasks.
• Work with Apple engineers and manufacturing factory's engineering team on electrical tool development, failure analysis, HW testing and validation and other HW-related cross-team support • Travel to factories in other cities may be needed • The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of HW development related to consumer electronics, gaining invaluable industry experience
Conduct system SI design reviews. Execute system bring-up, debugging, failure analysis, and triage. Perform tests and measurements using lab instruments to debug and validate end-to-end IO interface designs. Support factory engineering build activities, which includes traveling to manufacturing sites. Develop and implement factory test stations, write test scripts, analyze test data, and provide actionable design feedback.
Day to day tasks involve electrical design, bringup, debug, and validation for iPad products. Routine responsibilities also include factory build support, and multi-disciplinary multi-functional collaboration and negotiation. We are looking for well-rounded candidates with a broad set of skill and interests, and the curiosity to dig deep wherever vital to tackle challenging problems. • Join the NPI (New Product Introduction) build support activities on the ground to get familiar with the hardware. • HW validation hands on once being familiar with iPhone hardware. • Lead a CM HW validation team and review their deliveries daily. • Communicate validation progress/status with US VPM (Validation Program Manager) and Hardware Leads to prioritize project tasks and identify and mitigate technical risks. • Build relationships with multi-functional development teams in the US and China in order to integrate their feedback into the daily validation tasks. • Invent and implement creative improvements on validation tools and process
