The Role: As a Senior Software Development Engineer - Systems, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design, and bring to market innovative developer tools. You will work closely with an internal interdisciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and test. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. The ideal candidate has current and extensive experience developing and building Android systems and applications. The candidate understands what the limitations of the platform are and can design and implement additional services or help optimize existing ones to meet the product requirements. The ideal candidate: - Has in-depth expertise working with Android system - Experience on TIF and Android TV related work - Enjoys working side by side with partners, colleagues and teams on tough problems - Is highly effective and thrives in a dynamic environment with multiple, changing priorities - Knows what is important when releasing software to developers and has been through the process from start to finish - Is comfortable with proactive outward communication and technical leadership and never shies away from a challenge A day in the life In a typical day, you work closely with FireTV and FireOS developers, SoC vendors, ODMs, Hardware team, and technical program managers to create new platform features, debugging TIF and TV related issues, and deliver customer loving high quality smart TV products on time.

In this role, you will: - Collaborate with Product Design, Industrial Design, and Mechanical Process Engineering teams to support product development - Collaborate with Lab126 suppliers to design and fabricate world-class tooling - Manage tool design, fabrication, and validation at the supply base - Drive analytical modeling and analysis of tooling concepts and design through "Mold Flow" and similar software - Have excellent oral and written communication skills including effective presentation of complex data - Support the design, manufacture, and coordinate the procurement of dimensional and functional jigs / fixtures for tooling validation - Develop the Lab126 supply base to utilize new materials and fabrication techniques for injection molding - Be required to mentor and develop junior engineers as necessary - Identify technical risks and define mitigation plan - Travel domestically and internationally to supplier sites as projects require

As a Senior Technical Program Manager - System, you will engage with an experienced inter-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, test and delivery. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead internal inter-disciplinary teams through the product execution phase process. The candidate is responsible for creating the project plan, including the schedule. You will work with the Product Manager to derive the product requirements and obtain executive approval. The Senior Technical Program Manager will drive and motivate the cross-functional team to deliver the product(s) as per the agreed-to requirements and cross functionally manage other internal team members. The Senior Technical Program Manager will be responsible for the coordination and planning of all engineering builds with Contract Manufacture at the supplier and drive the configuration management deliverables to ensure the timely release of all assemblies to production. In this role, you will: · Drive execution of program · Lead cross functional program meetings · Lead milestone reviews · Present program status to the executive team · Manage factory builds globally This position will require domestic and international travel.
