• Work closely with Senior MPE team members in supplier monitoring and reporting open issues • Participate in the review and development of part/sub-assembly process flow, including process fixture concept and DFM • Assist in the organization of technical data documentation throughout the development cycle including FAI, CMK, CPK, GR&R, and DFM • Travel domestically and internationally to sites as projects required • Can work 5 days per week during summer holiday for at least 3 months duration • Is willing to work in Shenzhen

As a Product/Test Engineering Intern, you'll support the development and implementation of strategies that achieve profitability targets on assigned TI product lines through new product development, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield enhancement projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Testing and troubleshooting issues • Developing production and characterization test specifications • Creating and managing product documentation • Providing product development support, which involves interfacing with design, test engineering, quality engineering, and other groups • Designing, debugging, and correlating test hardware and software • Designing interface and measurement circuits to make tester capabilities compatible with product definitions You could work in one of the following roles based on degree:• Software Engineer • Mechanical Design Engineer • Product Engineer • Test Engineer You'll have direct involvement in the entire lifecycle of the products in your assigned product portfolio, including product definition, qualification, manufacturing, cost optimization, and quality. As the intern, you will work with a team of people who are passionate about audio and delivering the best possible user experience. You will drive a transducer design and development, collaborating with our manufacturing partners to mock-up samples and test them. The role involves linear and non-linear computer simulation of electromagnetic, acoustics, and structural mechanics. You will optimize each design aspect for our custom transducers and work with other multi-functional teams to deliver an extraordinary audio experience to millions.
Participate in creating reliability test plans including resource allocations, validation schedule assumptions, and validation items scope. Participate in implementing specific validation items in reliability test plans with schedule. Work closely with senior reliability engineer in reporting reliability execution progress and issues. Participate in evaluating and developing reliability test methodologies to reduce test time and increase test coverage. Travel domestically to supplier sites as projects require. THE ROLE As a Launch and Sustaining Engineer in Tesla’s Vehicle Engineering Group, you will be responsible for local release and launch of vehicle components and systems for upcoming Vehicle production in GFSH & Fremont. You will be part of the global team that creates and executes world-class vehicles in terms of form, function and luxury. Commodities of particular importance for this role include Thermal Bar subassembly, AC Compressor, AC Lines, Coolant Hoses, Fluid Fil process, and the integration of these commodities into the vehicle. You will utilize your expertise in one or more of these commodities and work with a lean and agile team of the best automotive engineers in the industry. RESPONSIBILITIES Along with Tesla’s global vehicle engineering team, you will locally work with Lead Thermal Engineer to support release and launch thermal components and subsystems which are aligned with program product profile with responsibilities that include: • Support local changes, initiated by the Global team, of parts and systems according to Tesla Change Management process. • Support and scrutinize vehicle production to achieve highest quality production standards regarding the thermal and HVAC system through process analysis, regular observation of assembly process, interacting with Production Quality, Production and EOL repair teams. • Drive continued improvement to production processes and equipment to achieve highest quality standards if deemed necessary. • Implement processes and quality metrics to achieve world class execution of cutting-edge automotive thermal and HVAC systems. • Support the global team in design optimization with the appropriate analytical and physical assessments. • You will collaborate with key suppliers and support overall vehicle launch milestones and prototype/production build events. • You will collaborate with cross functional teams within the Tesla Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and New Product Introduction groups to ensure thermal and HVAC system manufacturing and assembly feasibility and serviceability. • Drive failure analysis to determine root cause and communicate with Global Engineering team to make implement design improvements.
