The Role: Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Wireless Firmware Integration Engineer for the Wireless Systems team to develop best in class telematics solutions. The role involves integration and validation of wireless connectivity firmware/driver solutions for telematics systems across Tesla vehicle platforms (S, 3, X, Y, ...). The position requires working closely with cross-functional teams and also external partners on firmware integration with wireless SoC and Tesla wireless stack in order to enable productions across factory and delivered fleets. This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with tight timing constraints. Responsibilities: Development and integration of the SoC partners' firmware and Tesla connectivity stack Responsible for firmware repo creation, firmware integration, build, deployment and validation across telematics products' full lifecycle Develop software CI/CD automation framework to continuously improve development and integration efficiency Keep track and analysis of SoC partner side firmware issues in pre-production stage Work closely with firmware development, production team and external partners to keep delivering high quality firmware

What to Expect The Role As a Software Development & Integration Intern on the Battery Management System (BMS) Team, you will have the opportunity to accelerate the delivery of quality Tesla products to consumer markets. You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing firmware on high voltage systems. Your effort to create and improve battery management functions will have a direct impact on the reliability and convenience of the Tesla products as well as the customer experience. The Tesla battery team is extremely focused on the quality of users’ indicators (i.e. range, SOC, power, etc.) which directly plays into the overall experience and safety of the system as a whole. The team strives to create robust, efficient firmware and your responsibility is to ensure the code quality extremely high. You will also play an important role in our future technologies roadmap, including firmware support on different platforms and new products (packs, cells, etc) and those techs may also lead the whole industry to a new epic. What You'll Do Responsibilities • Develop, debug, and test software in C/C++ or other languages (e.g., Python, Java) for high voltage system applications. • Design, implement and test cutting-edge algorithms according to different standards for run-time control system. • Develop multiple systems interaction functions for new power features. • Participate in code reviews and troubleshooting sessions to ensure reliability and safety. • Document software design, implementation, and testing processes. • Develop Software-in-the-Loop infrastructure in a object-oriented fashion, making high degree of re-use of existing objects and objects that are highly reusable. • Follow safety protocols and industry standards for electrical systems. The Role The Factory Firmware Team is focused on vehicle software and integration engineering in support of manufacturing and new product introduction. This will include projects to create or improve integration tools, as well as tasks to investigate vehicle software improvements in the manufacturing environment. It is important that this person is excited about learning new skills and systems and has strong collaboration skills. This person will be expected to move projects along at an aggressive pace and to get your hands dirty in the details of various subsystems – digging through backend logs, root causing issues and developing solutions to complex problems. The Factory Firmware Team is the eyes and ears of the Firmware organization within the factory and often have the last say on the deployment of new firmware to manufacturing – providing valuable insight and feedback to accelerate development of new software features. Responsibilities • Develop software tools for vehicle diagnostics, testing, and validation under manufacturing environment • Create software solutions to bridge manufacturing process gaps and help team be more productive and efficient • Dig into data, system design and source code to identify and debug issues at the system level and propose robust solutions
