What You'll Be Doing: • Contribute to the development of open-source inference frameworks such as SGLang and vLLM, including feature and operator development, performance optimization, and model support, in collaboration with the community. • Develop and optimize KV cache offloading frameworks for LLM workloads, supporting multi-level cache offloading and reuse across CPU, SSD, and remote storage to improve inference efficiency. (Team project: FlexKV) • Drive R&D on compute performance in distributed training, and explore methods and technologies for performance optimization. • Study computational challenges in machine learning systems, identify common needs and bottlenecks, and build example code, acceleration libraries, or frameworks accordingly. As a Solutions Architect within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s utility services including container, modern application, networking, database and big data etc) within enterprise accounts. Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, and developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform. The ideal candidate will posses customer facing skills that will allow them to represent Amazon well within a customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel within the company, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact and give guidance to software developers and architects. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges. - As an AIML Specialist Solutions Architect (SA) in AI Infrastructure, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for providing optimal solutions in model training and inference workloads that leverage Amazon Web Services accelerator computing services. As part of the Specialist Solutions Architecture team, you will work closely with other Specialist SAs to enable large-scale customer model workloads and drive the adoption of AWS EC2, EKS, ECS, SageMaker and other computing platform for GenAI practice. - You will interact with other SAs in the field, providing guidance on their customer engagements, and you will develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage AI Infrastructure on Amazon Web Services. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services GenAI solutions into customer architectures. - You must have deep technical experience working with technologies related to Large Language Model (LLM), Stable Diffusion and many other SOTA model architectures, from model designing, fine-tuning, distributed training to inference acceleration. A strong developing machine learning background is preferred, in addition to experience building application and architecture design. You will be familiar with the ecosystem of Nvidia and related technical options, and will leverage this knowledge to help Amazon Web Services customers in their selection process. - Candidates must have great communication skills and be very technical and hands-on, with the ability to impress Amazon Web Services customers at any level, from ML engineers to executives. Previous experience with Amazon Web Services is desired but not required, provided you have experience building large scale solutions. Shaping and selling custom consulting solutions with technical acumen that maximize Microsoft investments. • Providing deal coaching and shaping by encouraging cross area learning and insights within the solution area to the value of both our customers and wider Microsoft teams.
