THE ROLE Interns within Homologation and Safety Testing will work side by side with range test team to support energy consumption, coast down and range test accomplishment and data analysis carried out in Shanghai. This role will focus on developing test data analysis automation scripts, improving current test database visualization dashboard and meanwhile, extending utilization of lab management system from one to the other. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop automation scripts with the help of MATLAB or Python, which can realize coastdown/range raw test data automatic deployment, analysis and addition to online database. • Analyze Real-World Driving consumption fleet data and generate MySQL database as per team’s requirement. • Re-design or optimize current MySQL database to make it easier to understand, more compacted and readable. • Connect the generated database to Tesla Range test team internal website and visualize database content via online chart/graph as per team’s requirement. • Other assigned projects contributing to range test efficiency improvement: • Replicate Test Facility # 2 monitoring system to Test Facility #1. • Range test team internal website maintenance and new feature develop. • Range test execution checklist automation and mail notification system development.
The Role This position is main contributor of test operation for energy efficiency and range test in Tesla APAC Range Test team with the primary objectives of executing test with Tesla test procedure and delivering robust test data for both domestic and export markets. Responsibilities • Prepare test vehicle and test instrumentation, execute in-house energy efficiency and range test, applying different test procedure such as CLTP/WLTP/MCT. • Onsite monitor and support energy efficiency and range test in 3rd party test labs. • Drive regulatory (CLTC/WLTC/MCT) in different test condition (ambient, cold, hot) and development test cycles in the in-house test. • Be responsible of test facility, test device, test car and test part management and calibration. • Support engineers or suppliers to conduct test equipment onsite or remote troubleshooting. • Partially support coastdown test activities when it needed. • Well understand the test requirement and communicate with engineer for any deviation on the test execution.
