The Role
As a Closures Engineer, Cleaning System, you will be responsible for conceiving, architecting, designing, and engineering the vehicle cleaning systems of Tesla vehicles—spanning wiper hardware interfaces, washer tanks and pumps, hose/tubing networks, nozzles, and related structural packaging. You will work alongside pioneering Designers and Engineers through all stages of the product design cycle: From initial sketch and concept, through architecture and design, and finally to validation and product launch. You will be part of the team that creates and executes some of the most notable hallmarks of Tesla design—where clean glass and reliable spray coverage are not only about driver confidence, but also about keeping critical optical paths ready for Tesla Assisted Driving capabilities.

Responsibilities
Serve as a member of the Vehicle Engineering Team to lead or co-own automotive cleaning system development within the closures domain for the Tesla vehicle product lines
Conceptualize, design, engineer and launch structural and fluid-system components and assemblies for the cleaning system role, including wiper system interfaces, washer tank, pump, hose/line routing, nozzles, valves, and brackets
Work side by side with side doors, hood and liftgates for CIW (Closures in White) team to integrate and package components within each closure, owning clean routing paths, clash-free packaging, and serviceable tank/hose layouts
