任职要求

Taking ownership of Craftsmanship attribute deliverables for defined vehicle systems or areas.
Benchmarking of competitor vehicles and consolidation of data in order to define robust and appropriately competitive Craftsmanship targets.
Creation and development of gap and flush build objectives and supporting delivery of those targets.
Representing the Craftsmanship attribute at all relevant meetings in the product design and development process.
Creation of Craftsmanship status documentation at regular checkpoint intervals.
Developing verification testing methods to ensure all targets are validated.
Driving closure of Craftsmanship issues through influencing and negotiation, using quantitative data, and creating constructive alternative solutions.
Supporting the craftsmanship deliverables through to development/engineering signoff of the vehicle.
Working with and supporting the quality functions to ensure targets are appropriately understood and measurable.
Leading and influencing other teams in GFSH to help prioritize and resolve the most important quality and manufacturing issues.
Communicating required level of quality in manufacturing, contained in Build Objectives.
Identifying new Quality/Craftsmanship issues requiring resolution.
Tracking status of body and interior gap and flush results, and compliance with targets.
Liaising between local manufacturing team and US counterparts.

THE ROLE
Craftsmanship is the perception of quality that a customer has about a product, derived through sight, touch, sound, and scent. The Tesla Craftsmanship team is responsible for ensuring that the design of Tesla products is optimized so they are utterly compelling in the store and provide a faultless experience during use.
How do we do it? At the early stages we work with the Product Management teams to quantify the required product content, the Design Studio to identify and resolve any issues relating to the concept, the Engineering and Dimensional teams to develop achievable, world-class gap and flush targets, and the Manufacturing and Quality teams to identify and prioritize issues during pre-production and launch.
We are seeking a passionate team member to represent the Craftsmanship team and lead the Craftsmanship initiative at GFSH.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Fluent in English, for reading, writing, and comprehension.
Degree qualified or similar qualification in either an industrial design or engineering discipline.
Good level of numeracy, literacy and logical reasoning skills.
An inherent attention to detail and an understanding of the factors that create a perception of exceptional quality in the mind of the consumer.
An appreciation for the impact and contribution to dimensional variation in assemblies.
Some understanding of statistical analysis would be advantageous.
An appreciation of how subjective data can be measured or quantified to develop robust Craftsmanship targets.
Creative, constructive and positive approach in order to be able to positively contribute to the development of design solutions to meet Craftsmanship targets.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Five years of automotive or complex product design knowledge experience is preferred.
Demonstration of knowledge in a variety of production and prototype manufacturing methods.
Flexibility to work across a wide variety of areas of vehicle design.
Desire to become expert in craftsmanship and build a career within the field.
Capable of leading, managing and completing projects with appropriate support from senior staff.
