• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Strong communication skills, independent worker, excellent team player, and all-around badass
• Excellent understanding of acoustics and vibration principles
• 5 years’ experience using Finite Element Analysis related to NVH.
• Strong experience with full vehicle NVH CAE
• Expert applied skill in OptiStruct (NASTRAN) or other FEM codes for NVH CAE
• Strong experience with HyperWorks (HyperMesh and HyperView) or ANSA
• Acoustic FEM/BEM analysis experience with Simcenter 3D or MSC Actran is a plus
• NVH testing experience is a plus

As a NVH CAE Engineer with our NVH team you will play a critical role in the design and development of Tesla s industry-leading products. You will analyze, optimize, and revolutionize electric vehicle designs. You will work with fellow NVH engineers and other engineering teams to solve the toughest challenges in the industry and deliver world-class performance.

Responsibilities
• Developing FE models for analysis and optimization of revolutionary vehicle architectures in collaboration with a small team of multi-disciplinary engineers
• Performing modal, point mobility, vibration and acoustic transfer function analysis during the design and development process to achieve world-class vehicle attribute targets
• Performing full vehicle NVH analysis (in-cabin vibration and acoustic predictions)
• Managing precise model versioning and alignment with CAD enabling speed and efficiency in iteration
• Supporting world-class engineering teams with design direction based on your analyses
• Performing analysis for feasibility for manufacturing, assembly and service processes
• Providing input in the creation of component specification, component DFMEA, and other technical design documents where analysis plays a pivotal role
