THE ROLE
Tesla is seeking an Audio Engineer within the Infotainment Team who has had 3+ years of design, test, and release responsibility of Audio products. This engineer should have a strong understanding of the design and application of these components within an audio system, and the ability to define, specify and set the requirements for these. This engineer will be a technical and process mentor for other engineers in the team and the company. This engineer must thrive in a start-up company environment with great opportunities for growth and spectacular achievement. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the product development of microphones and other audio system products from inception to end of life
• Gain a knowledge of our components and audio systems, relative to a vehicle environment and integration
• Perform simulations of these acoustic components, systems, and environments
• Work with cross-functional teams to create and/or maintain best-in-class products
• Interpret, develop, and manage product data, drawings, requirements and specifications
• Work with suppliers on design, development, manufacturing processes and validation of audio products
• Plan, execute, interpret, and document a functional audio product validation
• Troubleshoot, root cause and provide solutions to component and system level failures
