The Role
As a Charging System Developer & Validation Intern on the Charging System Team, you will help deliver robust, high-quality charging experiences across Tesla vehicles. The charging system covers Charge Port (CP) and Power Conversion System (PCS). You will contribute to both firmware development and validation—including control logic,, protocol interoperability, diagnostics, and related vehicle interfaces. You will design and implement firmware features, validation procedures, test equipment, and automation that improve reliability, safety, and customer experience. Working closely with integration teams, you will build innovative automated test systems, analyze lab and field data, and help validate hardware and firmware performance. You will also support the roadmap for future charging technologies, including new products, regional standards, and next-generation charging features.
