The successful candidate will work with the world-class analysis engineers in the industry and get your hands on the most advanced simulation tools to support the engineering development of our next-generation products. RESPONSIBILITIES • Complete the training materials and ramp up your learning curve quickly to get familiar with Tesla CAE tools/procedures. • Build the crash/durability/CFD CAE models from the ground up independently to solve the problems from the real world. • Design and carry out tests to correlate your models. • Deliver and present your analysis results with the global analysis team.
THE ROLE As an Analysis Engineer within our Analysis Team, you will play a critical role in the development of Tesla next generation products. Tesla is synonymous with industry leading crash safety performance and in this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing this performance with revolutionary vehicle designs. You will be brilliant both technically as an individual, and as an active member in a diverse and challenging cross-functional team environment. You will work with Vehicle Engineering teams to analyze the performance of future vehicle designs and with Test Engineering teams to develop tests, correlate simulation models, and improve the predictive capability of Analysis Engineering at Tesla. RESPONSIBILITIES • Construct CAE models and perform simulations related to vehicle crash structure performance, occupant safety, pedestrian protection, and HV systems on a vehicle level. • Verify the results from the simulations comply with multiple various crash safety requirements. • Optimize body, closure, battery, and other sub-systems based on your analysis results to improve the crashworthiness of design vehicle architectures. • Apply your knowledge of Finite Element Analysis, Applied Solid Mechanics, and Material Science in a product development environment. • Get involved in methodology development to improve CAE modelling efficiency. • Basic level of working ability with scripting in Python is a plus.
