THE ROLE Tesla is expanding its UI software engineering team. We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer specializing in front-end software development and creating exceptional user experiences. You will need strong software engineering skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and experience accepting and giving meaningful feedback on technical designs. You will be responsible for the look and feel of the user experience, architecture, and front-end graphics. You will need to collaborate with our top-notch design team and back end developers. Our goal is to set the bar for what a car UI can be; by creating an interface that flows so naturally, it makes the car feel like an extension of the driver's body. We want to work with people who are excited by this goal and have the talent to deliver on it. RESPONSIBILITIES Rapid development of in-car customer experiences. Design, code, and debug UI interfaces/architectures. Work with a cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation, and designers.
THE ROLE Tesla's Software Platforms team provides the foundation on which the in-vehicle user experience is built. We build the software platform (kernel, bootchain, drivers, and lower level userspace platform services) for our innovative Infotainment hardware. This includes high resolution touch displays, high definition audio, bluetooth/wifi/cellular connectivity, USB, cameras, all connected to high performance multi-core processors and GPUs. Our software is based on Linux, GNU toolchain, buildroot, and other open source projects, delivering the security, capability, and performance demanded by our user experience RESPONSIBILITIES • Write well structured, testable, efficient, and maintainable code • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system • Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics • Use existing available hardware in innovative ways to solve problems • Board bringup and hardware design validation • Deploy software incrementally to meet very fast paced development • Develop software tests and continuous integration for your code • Support factory provisioning, test, and improvements • Assess and document new product feasibility

RESPONSIBILITIES Design and write software that enables rapid prototyping by development teams, while ensuring the highest levels of reliability and availability. Work directly with our factory firmware team to provide highly available factory-facing services. Drive the migration of large-scale, distributed fleet applications towards cloud-native microservices. Influence architectural decisions with focus on security, scalability and high-performance. Automate the build and deployment of infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes & other orchestration technologies in a hybrid-cloud environment. THE ROLE Tesla is a leader in Autopilot technology and we’re building the world's best in-car navigation experience. These two fields overlap in the role of Maps Engineer. We're looking for motivated software engineers that are up to the challenge. You will implement next generation algorithms on top of large amounts of data from the Tesla fleet. This is a cornerstone on which Navigate on Autopilot and Smart Summon are implemented. In addition, the same data will drive more efficient routing and better turn-by-turn navigation for customers. The ideal candidate is self-driven, has experience developing high-performance applications and motivated by complex algorithmic problems. Our engineers must bring a principled, data-driven methodology to software development with a passion for improving quality of their products. Flexibility is paramount, as the engineer must learn a wide array of technologies to improve customer experience ranging from route quality and ETA prediction all the way to self-driving capabilities.
