Job Mission The job mission of the China Customs Manager is to execute and ensure customs compliance with a strategical and tactical focus while pro-actively supporting ASML and its business partners in the various jurisdictions. Role and responsibilities The Team Currently the ASML Tax & Customs Team includes close to 50 tax and customs professionals residing in the Netherlands based HQ and in the multiple regional/local offices in APAC and the US. The Tax & Customs team includes regional teams (NL/EMEA, Asia and US) and global expertise teams (Indirect tax, Customs, Transfer Pricing, Wage Tax and PMO). ASML’s Tax & Customs team is accountable for the Tax and Customs affairs in all jurisdictions where ASML operates. The flat ASML organization and X-sector approach for addressing business challenges allows the Tax & Customs team to closely interact with the company operations. The Tax & Customs team provides expertise guidance to the business and manages tax/customs risks according to its global strategy approved by ASML Board of Management. In this respect the Tax & Customs team closely collaborates with the other Finance, Legal and Operations teams to ensure appropriate and efficient execution in practice. Job Description Responsible for continuously monitoring of the applicable customs laws and regulations in the relevant jurisdictions and assess the relevancy and impact of these changes for ASML Pro-actively advice and support ASML’s (local) management on customs aspects of business decisions and further increase the value add of the Customs Affairs team Create, build and maintain good relations with stakeholders within the other (cross) functional expertise areas like treasury, accounting, compliance and legal to support the business in an integrated way Together with the other colleagues of the Customs Affairs team, co-develop, maintain, implement and improve policies and guidelines to manage Customs Compliance Maintain and improve the framework of controls (Tax & Customs control framework) that ASML uses to manage and mitigate risks with a focus on China and other markets going forward Focus on customs compliance and work closely together with colleagues from the regional and global expertise teams and the customs operations team located in the different countries Participate in improvement and change projects as subject matter expert, representing the Customs Affairs team Apply for and maintain customs valuation rulings or agreements with the authorities Stimulate and establish good working relationships at different levels with relevant government agencies, special interest groups and professional network groups Represent ASML towards governmental bodies, including audits Context of the position In your role as Customs Manager you are part of a global team (ASML’s Corporate Tax & Customs Team) of direct tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, wage tax and customs professionals in an international environment and presence in three continents. The Customs Manager is a member of the Customs Affairs team consisting currently of 8 customs professionals (located in NL, TW, KR, US). This position will be located in the Shanghai Head Office and will report to the Global Head of Customs Affairs located in Veldhoven. The Customs Manager will be responsible for all customs related topics and projects from a strategical and tactical point of view for Asia with a focus specifically for China and other markets going forward. He or she will closely work together with the colleagues from the customs operations teams (part of supply chain) as well as local management and other stakeholders.
We seek to hire Legal Counsel (Global Commercial) who will be a key member of the growing legal team supporting AliExpress global e-commerce business around the world. This role will be based in Hangzhou, China office. Primary Responsibilities Support and advise on global corporate and commercial aspects of our e-commerce business’ global expansion of current and proposed new initiatives. Provide advice to business teams on various aspects (including marketing, promotion, super buyer, advertising, etc.) of the implementation of business models and strategies, business operations, product offerings, marketing activities and commercial agreements. Partnering with business, tech, product and risk management and other relevanr departments respectively, set up and maintain the marketing and promotion framework and programs on e-commerce related activities. Negotiate, draft, and review various types of agreements and policies. Research local laws and regulations in multiple jurisdictions and manage external counsel.

Address issues in cross-border e-commerce clearance operations such as inspections, timeliness, customer complaints, and key processes. 5. Develop and execute strategies to optimize tariffs and logistics costs, improving AliExpress's competitiveness in the Brazilian market. 6.
