About the HR development program: As a member of our global human resources (HR) team, you will work with leaders across the company to help ensure that TI has the talent and capabilities needed to win in the highly competitive and dynamic semiconductor market. As strategic partners, HR plays a critical role in the company’s success, and you will, too. Are you trying to decide between being a specialist or a generalist? Our program gives you the opportunity to explore both – one as an HR business partner and the other in a specialist role (recruiting, compensation, development, employee relations, etc.). At the end of this program, you’ll join one of TI’s Human Resources teams and will be well positioned for important senior roles across the organization. In fact, many of our senior HR leaders began their careers at TI by joining our HR Development Program.Our HR teams work on important activities across a variety of business and functional issues – all of which align HR strategies to support business goals and objectives by working closely with the business group to assess HR needs, then develop and implement innovative solutions that drive organizational and operational excellence. Some of these activities include analyzing TI’s market competitiveness, developing communication strategies to help managers be better leaders, improving recruiting and marketing efforts, identifying high potential talent and implementing development plans, developing key training modules, planning for long term talent needs, and much more.In this program, you’ll be immersed in job assignments from the start in positions that are critical to our business success. This is coupled with opportunities for formal learning, networking with peers and senior leaders, as well as on the job project opportunities to give you experience in nearly every HR function.

Some of these areas and responsibilities include:• Business HR Generalist: Align HR strategies to support business goals and objectives by working closely with the business group to assess HR needs, then develop and implement innovative solutions that drive organizational and operational excellence. • Compensation: Design and deliver competitive compensation programs for TI employees worldwide. Projects often include analyzing TI's market competitiveness, developing communication strategies to help managers make smart decisions, etc. • Ethics and Employee Relations: Help TI maintain its high ethical standards, commitment to social responsibility and strong employee relations. Projects typically focus on the development and support of key training modules, along with understanding and improving key processes and audits. • Recruiting: Recruit talent to TI by preparing for campus recruiting, improving recruiting and marketing efforts, benchmarking and/or managing the internal intern program committee for the summer. • Talent Development: Provide relevant learning to improve business performance by developing and implementing development strategies driven by the needs of TI businesses and functional areas. In this system engineering intern role, you'll have the chance to: • Develop advanced analog and digital chips and system products from concept to mass production • Complete advanced high speed IC design cycles and participate in a variety of system design activities • Interface directly with TI business units and customers to define product roadmaps • Assess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design teams and customers • Evaluate silicon systems (hardware and software) and related documentation • Gather user requirements, translate them to functional specifications, and implement solutions and enhancement projects • Provide complete documentation for each development lifecycle step • Perform troubleshooting and debugging on issues related to the system Put your talent to work with us as a system engineering intern!

As a Product/Test Engineering Intern, you'll support the development and implementation of strategies that achieve profitability targets on assigned TI product lines through new product development, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield enhancement projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Testing and troubleshooting issues • Developing production and characterization test specifications • Creating and managing product documentation • Providing product development support, which involves interfacing with design, test engineering, quality engineering, and other groups • Designing, debugging, and correlating test hardware and software • Designing interface and measurement circuits to make tester capabilities compatible with product definitions You could work in one of the following roles based on degree:• Software Engineer • Mechanical Design Engineer • Product Engineer • Test Engineer You'll have direct involvement in the entire lifecycle of the products in your assigned product portfolio, including product definition, qualification, manufacturing, cost optimization, and quality. In addition, you will have the chance to resolve customer quality and application issues, and facilitate cross-functional teams in problem solving activities. Intern opportunities are available across the spectrum of business and operations functions including accounting, finance, pricing, supply chain.Your internship projects may be in one or more of these areas:• Accounting: Analyzing business cost trends; updating semiconductor pricing for internal transfers; understanding research and development (R&D) expenses and trends and comparing them to forecasts/estimates; and performing monthly journal entries and reconciling accounts. • Finance: Developing projections for profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet items; supporting various managers with proactive reviews of actual and projected spending; and developing analytical tools and reporting to support different financial and operational areas within the organization.
