Job Brief: We are looking for an experienced and visionary Firmware Manager to lead our firmware development team in the power electronics domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in firmware engineering for power converters and protection applications, coupled with proven leadership abilities. As a Firmware Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire firmware development lifecycle, managing technical teams, defining strategic directions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable firmware solutions for our power electronic systems. Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Management Lead and mentor a team of firmware engineers working on power electronic converters, protection applications. Define roles and responsibilities, set performance objectives, and conduct regular performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative team environment, promote knowledge sharing, and drive professional development within the team. Technical Strategy and Planning Develop and execute the firmware technology roadmap aligned with company goals and market trends. Define architectural frameworks and design standards for firmware solutions in power electronics. Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance product performance, efficiency, and reliability. Technical Expertise and Guidance Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team on complex firmware challenges in power electronics. Review and approve critical design decisions, control algorithms, and code implementations. Contribute to the resolution of high-level technical issues and debugging of complex system problems. Quality and Compliance Ensure firmware designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality guidelines. In this role, you will manage the development and the introduction of several cutting-edge firmware integration projects, leveraging your expertise in system integration and driving results with Tesla's signature agility and speed. Responsibilities Manage cross-functional programs from end-to-end, covering a range of areas including firmware impacts driven by program change scope, firmware branch strategy, firmware trials, manufacturing setups and tests, firmware flashing, and coordination with hardware & firmware development teams and program teams. Develop and manage project plans and ensure on-time delivery. Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to effectively coordinate firmware development, trials, validation, & integration to the factory. Define and drive the schedule for upcoming new project launches and sustaining programs. Continuously evolve our processes to increase precision, dependability, and agility.
- Follow Schneider Electric project process, Lead R&D team to develop new electronic products for industry application including the specification, product concept design, circuit design and simulation, prototype assembly and product verification so as to meet the offer requirement. - Cooperate with correlated team member and related teams such as PCB layout engineers, Mechanical engineers, Firmware/Software engineers, and EMC test engineers to fulfill the design and resolve technical issues. - Follow Schneider Electric design process and deliver the design documents with high quality on time - Focus on the Power Quality acting as technical leader for Reactive Power compensation, Active Power Filter, Thyristor switch&Controller, Power Factor Correction, SVG, DVR and Detuned Reactor. - Technical leader to drive the power quality new offer launch and maintain existing offer. - Co-operate with colleagues to achieve product development goal. - Support industrialization team to ensure the delivery of the mass production - Complete other jobs assigned by line manager or leaders

About The Role This engineer within the vehicle firmware organization is responsible for defining and executing system validation test plans. You will work closely with software developers, program managers, and counterparts in the United States to come up with the validation strategies for both released and upcoming Tesla vehicle platforms. You will also work on automated validation bucks to free your hands from regression tests. The scope contains systems such as LV power, authentications, closures, windows, seats and lightings. Additionally, as the system validation representative you will work closely with other component owners as well to ensure our system is well integrated and validated from a full vehicle perspective.
