We are seeking an experienced Power Electronics Hardware Manager to lead the power electronics engineering team, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of power electronics converters and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in power electronics, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing cross-functional teams to deliver high-reliability projects. The role requires driving technical strategy, ensuring project execution, and fostering innovation to enhance system efficiency and reliability. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of power electronics engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and performance oversight. Develop and execute technical roadmaps for power electronics converters (e.g., DC microgrid applications, Interlink Converters, Battery Storage systems, Solid State Circuit Breaker) aligned with business objectives. Oversee the full product lifecycle, from feasibility studies and design evaluation to prototyping, testing, and commercialization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., embedded software, mechanical engineering, product management) to integrate power electronics into overall system designs. Review and approve system specifications, circuit diagrams, technical drawings, and simulation results to ensure design validity and compliance with standards. Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality solutions. Drive research and implementation of emerging technologies to improve product efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure compliance with electrical standards and regulations (e.g., UL, CE) across all projects. Represent the team in technical discussions with stakeholders, clients, and international partners, fostering effective communication. Job Brief: As a global leader in energy management and automation, Schneider Electric is seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development especially in Electrical /Electronic field. As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and debugging of firmware for power converters (AC/DC, DC/DC, etc.). Responsibilities: · Design and implement embedded firmware for power converters such as AC/DC and DC/DC Converters. · Collaborate with hardware engineers to define and implement HAL(Drivers) and perform troubleshooting. · Design and implement RTOS/Communication/Boot/Cybersecurity, etc. · Create design documentation and conduct design reviews. · Optimize firmware for performance, efficiency, and reliability. · Ensure compliance with firmware design and coding standards. · Identify and mitigate potential risks in firmware designs. · Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in power electronics and firmware development. · Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
Responsibilities and activities for this position include the following: • Serve as Apple’s in-region thermal expert by leveraging a thorough understanding of the system-level and module-level thermal design and validation requirements. Experience in passive device thermal design is preferred. • Collaborate with U.S.-based Senior Thermal Engineers on technology evaluation, design investigation and process development for new products. • Guide and execute thermal testing at OEM and suppliers factories; Complete data reduction/analysis and prepare test reports. • Establish and manage relationships with thermal suppliers to identify emerging technologies and collaborate with them on the development of new technologies to meet Apple’s product roadmap needs. • Take the leading role in suggesting or adopting ideas for improving productivity and quality of thermal components. • Provide in-region expertise for root cause and corrective action of system thermal failures and defective thermal parts/materials. • Train engineers at OEM and vendor factories to produce high quality products using well-defined specifications, advanced production processes and update-to-date validation tools and codes.
