About the job
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Autonomous Driving System Test Engineer to join our research and development center in Singapore, focusing on the deployment, testing, and operation of L4-level autonomous driving vehicles for international projects. Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with top-notch engineers to explore cutting-edge autonomous driving technologies and translate them into commercial applications. Additionally, you will have the chance to travel to other countries for business trips to participate in local project deployments, broadening your international perspective and gaining valuable practical experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive testing plans for L4-level autonomous driving vehicles to ensure stable performance across various road and traffic conditions;
Conduct thorough functional, performance, and safety testing of the autonomous driving system to meet the strict requirements for project deployment;
Oversee the testing and operational work of autonomous driving vehicles in Singapore, collaborating closely with partners to ensure the smooth operation of testing processes;
Continuously monitor and analyze test data, identify and address issues, and optimize the performance and stability of the autonomous driving system through iterative improvements;
Travel to other countries globally for business trips as needed, participating in local autonomous driving project deployments and collaborating closely with team members to ensure the smooth progress of the projects


Job Requirements

Hold a bachelor's degree or above in computer science, automation, vehicle engineering, or a related field;
At least 1 year of experience in autonomous driving or related fields, with a deep understanding of the testing processes and technical requirements for L4-level autonomous driving vehicles preferred;
Proficient in autonomous driving system testing methods and tools, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
Possess strong communication skills and a team-oriented spirit, able to collaborate effectively across departments and teams;
Fluent in both written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English, able to read and understand technical documents in English and participate in international technical exchanges and collaborations;
Willing and able to accept business trips to other countries globally, participate in local project deployments, and possess the ability to adapt to different cultures and work environments

About the Team The Vehicle Dynamics engineer is responsible for developing the unparalleled ride, handling, steering, and braking attributes of Tesla vehicles. In a fast-paced and constantly changing environment we deliver performance characteristics that help define the brand. We are looking for a skilled and passionate group members who will provide innovative and efficient solutions while meeting demanding timelines and superior performance requirements. The Role Serve as part of the Vehicle Engineering team to develop ride, steering, handling and braking attributes for all Tesla vehicles including: Utilizing Passive and Active systems as appropriate to the targets set, and Road and Track evaluations and tuning required for all world market conditions. Working between quantitative (data acquisition) and qualitative (subjective) reporting, the successful candidate will guide efforts between modeling, design, and controls towards developing Tesla character and DNA in all our class leading products. Duties include planning managing and executing tests, product lifecycle management and working cross functionally with teams such as modelling, design, and firmware engineering, which require timely and actionable feedback. Inventory control and parts tracking from Bill of Materials for both production and prototype parts will also be necessary to support development and launch success in the factory. This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of autonomy, proven ability and flexibility. Responsibilities • Work closely with design team to help grow our supplier partners to have better capability in delivering driving attributes with consistency and repeatability. • Provide design, controls and architectural feedback to ensure that Tesla attribute targets are met. • Perform drive assessments and generate quantitative metrics and qualitative descriptions that then lead the changes necessary to develop vehicles in keeping with Tesla’s character • Support developments of other vehicle areas (e.g. NVH, Simulations, Range, Mass). • Generate engineering data (run logs and reports) for all activities. Participate in design, program, and product reviews and provide supported feedback. • Manage and execute testing programs, working cooperatively and efficiently communicating within a dynamic and interactive environment.
