THE ROLE Tesla is expanding the Infotainment Applications software team! We’re responsible for building in-car user interfaces, productivity applications (phone, calendar, browser), entertainment (media streaming and video games), autopilot visualization, and our mobile application. This team's work is front and center of Tesla’s vehicle fleet, with millions of customers around the world experiencing and interacting with their software as the primary interface to the vehicle. RESPONSIBILITY • Maps & Navigation: Ever wish you could type in an address and have your car drive you there? The Maps and Navigation team works to make this dream a reality! Tesla vehicles can not only navigate on Autopilot, but will one day reach full autonomy. Join a team of engineers responsible for mapping the world around us and bringing the car to life. • Media: The Media team is responsible for bringing unique in-car experiences such as Netflix, Youtube and Spotify to our fleet. We design and build scalable, high-availability systems and APIs for Tesla vehicles. Interns on this team will help ensure that Tesla vehicles are one of the most fun and engaging products to use in the world! • Vehicle UI: As a Software Engineer Intern working on Vehicle-UI Development and Integration, you will be responsible for building in-car user interfaces to operate the vehicle's cutting-edge systems. You will work on a cross-functional team to implement and deliver user interfaces focused on the car's physical subsystems including HVAC, body controls, drive systems, charging, and more. You will utilize fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and work with designers to create elegant and intuitive vehicle controls. • Video Games: Tesla strives to make its cars the most fun possible and what better way than by incorporating video games to the in-car experiences! THE ROLE Tesla's Software Platforms team provides the foundation on which the in-vehicle user experience is built. We build the software platform (kernel, bootchain, drivers, and lower level userspace platform services) for our innovative Infotainment hardware. This includes high resolution touch displays, high definition audio, bluetooth/wifi/cellular connectivity, USB, cameras, all connected to high performance multi-core processors and GPUs. Our software is based on Linux, GNU toolchain, buildroot, and other open source projects, delivering the security, capability, and performance demanded by our user experience RESPONSIBILITIES • Write well structured, testable, efficient, and maintainable code • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system • Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics • Use existing available hardware in innovative ways to solve problems • Board bringup and hardware design validation • Deploy software incrementally to meet very fast paced development • Develop software tests and continuous integration for your code • Support factory provisioning, test, and improvements • Assess and document new product feasibility

THE ROLE Tesla is expanding its UI software engineering team. We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer specializing in front-end software development and creating exceptional user experiences. You will need strong software engineering skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and experience accepting and giving meaningful feedback on technical designs. You will be responsible for the look and feel of the user experience, architecture, and front-end graphics. You will need to collaborate with our top-notch design team and back end developers. Our goal is to set the bar for what a car UI can be; by creating an interface that flows so naturally, it makes the car feel like an extension of the driver's body. We want to work with people who are excited by this goal and have the talent to deliver on it. RESPONSIBILITIES • Rapid development of in-car customer experiences. • Design, code, and debug UI interfaces/architectures. • Work with a cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation, and designers.
