- Experience in electric powertrain product development and mass production in Europe OEM; experience in edrive software and calibration is desirable;
- Master's degree or above, majoring in Power Electronics, Automotive Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related fields; PhD or 5+ years of experience at leading OEM or Tier-1/2 supplier preferred;
- Have successful experience in e-drive system development, and those who develop products to achieve mass production status are preferred.

1. Powertrain System Architecture - Be responsible for the overall conceptual design and plan formulation of innovative electric powertrain systems, and propose differentiated technical routes based on industry technology trends; - Lead the innovative development of vehicle high-voltage powernet system architecture, optimize the layout of high-voltage components, interface definition and integration solutions; - Participate in the feasibility demonstration, prototype design and test verification of innovative technologies related to electric powertrain and high-voltage systems, and promote the landing and application of technologies. 2. Simulation & Optimization - Be responsible for the full-condition performance simulation of the E-drive system, including the simulation and analysis of core indicators such as power performance, economy and efficiency; - Carry out multi-dimensional optimization based on simulation results, put forward improvement plans at the system and component levels, and improve the overall performance of the electric powertrain system; - Build and iterate the electric powertrain system simulation model, improve the simulation process and standards, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of simulation results. 3. Algorithm Calibration - Be responsible for the design, development and optimization of core motor control algorithms, including key algorithm modules such as torque control, speed control and efficiency optimization; - Undertake the function definition, requirement decomposition and motor calibration related to motor control, complete the debugging and verification of calibration parameters, and ensure that the control functions meet the standards. 4. Next-Gen Technology Development - Conduct research on cutting-edge technologies in the electric powertrain field (including power electronics, new types of e-machines, innovative gearboxes, etc.), and track industry technology trends and competitor information; - Connect with local R&D institutions, universities and partners in Europe, build a technology cooperation network, and promote technology introduction and joint R&D.
The Role We are hiring Electrical Powertrain Engineering Intern for our R&D team. You will support test activities on powertrain products from component to system level for Tesla new product development, such as drive inverter, motor and drive unit system. We are interested in students with majors of motor and power inverter engineering. Including but not limited to mechanical engineering, electrical engineering. A minimum 6 months staying with us is preferred Responsibilities • Support engineers to execute test tasks and maintain test documentation. • Support Test setup, interference with equipment like power supply, chambers, benches. • Develop inhouse/custom test equipment, like fixture, harness and so on. • Collaborate with design, quality and manufacturing to manage test programs from concept to final commissioning. • Support lab operation to maintain schedules, allocation of test resources. • Support failure investigation in post phases. • Write test software to automate test execution, data process and analyze.

RESPONSIBILITIES Perform Noise and Vibration Testing on a drive unit NVH dyno for Tesla drive unit Work independently to complete drive unit retrofits and adaptations for drive unit dyno NVH test Install countermeasures in drive unit to measure NVH improvement on NVH dyno Control the drive unit NVH dyno to do the open loop NVH tuning Maintain dyno NVH test equipment. Record test data during vehicle level NVH testing as needed Support vehicle level attributes activity as needed, including drive events, vehicle attribute screening and parts sweeping etc.
We are seeking a skilled NVH Test Engineer to join our NVH Team at Tesla, focusing on noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) testing and analysis for powertrain and vehicle systems. This role involves conducting tests on drive unit dynos and vehicles, providing critical feedback for risk assessment, design improvements, and psychoacoustic performance. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional design teams to drive continuous improvements in noise reduction while optimizing cost, mass, and complexity across powertrain and vehicle architectures Responsibilities: Perform Noise and Vibration Testing on a drive unit NVH dyno for Tesla drive unit development and trouble shooting. Provide feedback for risk assessment and improvements on drive unit component design and firmware/controls for NVH. Perform vehicle level noise and vibration tests, including validating NVH performance, design changes, and firmware tuning. Provide reports on powertrain NVH performance and feedback to vehicle design teams on countermeasures or improvements on NVH treatment, isolation, and structures for improved vehicle noise. Validate and maintain detailed information on firmware logic for power electronics related noise and its sensitivities. Contextualize and interpret CAE simulation risk to real world psychoacoustic performance.
