The Role: Tesla is seeking a senior Wireless System Test Engineer. This engineer will be responsible for validating cellular connectivity performance and follow up on issues documentation, reproduction, and real-time debugging. This engineer will work closely with service teams and development teams to contribute to improve car connectivity system performance and user experience across different platforms and carrier network continuously. Responsibilities: • Develop system performance validation strategy and test plan for cellular connectivity system performance • Execution of tests to verify that behavior of modem functions conforms to specifications, in live network environment (Static/Drive Test) • Document, root-cause and follow up on cellular connectivity issues found in internal, beta, field and vendor testing • Verification of field related issues and drive closure for the fix • Optimize cellular system performance validation tools (on/off fleet) throughput fleet lifecycle • Work closely with carrier operator and service provider on cellular related project and issue
THE ROLE Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Bluetooth Software Development Engineer for the Wireless Systems team to develop best in class telematics solutions. The role involves design and validation of Bluetooth based solutions for telematics systems across Tesla vehicle platforms (S, 3, X, Y, ...). The position requires working closely with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently, and creatively solving challenging design problems is of paramount importance. This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with tight timing constraints. RESPONSIBILITIES Integrate connectivity stack provided by SoC vendors into Tesla operating system Contribute to Tesla’s wireless connectivity stack – Bluetooth . Develop new features in well organized, efficient, and scalable C++ code. Develop telemetry and analytics platform enabling data collection, analysis and visualization of data reported from Tesla fleet. Conduct various scenarios of SW driven validations to ensure wireless connectivity performance of Tesla fleet. Root-cause issues reported from different test scenarios and customers. Contribute to rapid prototyping and evaluation of Tesla’s next generation wireless platforms. Implement continuous improvements and best practices within the team, and larger organization.
The Role: Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Wireless Firmware Integration Engineer for the Wireless Systems team to develop best in class telematics solutions. The role involves integration and validation of wireless connectivity firmware/driver solutions for telematics systems across Tesla vehicle platforms (S, 3, X, Y, ...). The position requires working closely with cross-functional teams and also external partners on firmware integration with wireless SoC and Tesla wireless stack in order to enable productions across factory and delivered fleets. This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with tight timing constraints. Responsibilities: Development and integration of the SoC partners' firmware and Tesla connectivity stack Responsible for firmware repo creation, firmware integration, build, deployment and validation across telematics products' full lifecycle Develop software CI/CD automation framework to continuously improve development and integration efficiency Keep track and analysis of SoC partner side firmware issues in pre-production stage Work closely with firmware development, production team and external partners to keep delivering high quality firmware
The Role Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Linux Firmware Development Engineer for the Wireless Systems team to develop best in class telematics solutions. The role involves design and validation of wireless connectivity firmware/driver solutions for telematics systems across Tesla vehicle platforms (S, 3, X, Y, ...). The position requires working closely with cross-functional teams to enable connectivity stack integration, factory production and connectivity SoC provisioning , SoC firmware upgrade, SoC fusing and wireless connectivity self-test routine, also root cause customer raised system firmware related issues. This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with tight timing constraints. Responsibilities o Integrate connectivity stack provided by SoC vendors into Tesla operating system. o Develop new features in well organized, efficient, and scalable C/C++ code. o Work closely with global firmware development and production team to keep delivering high quality firmware for manufacturing. o Contribute to factory provision process to improve HW failure rate and ensure performance of cellular connectivity of the in-house production line o Root-cause issues reported from different test scenarios/steps and customers especially on Linux kernel, Linux network, BSP, driver, etc. o Contribute to rapid prototyping and evaluation of Tesla’s next generation wireless platforms.
