1. Establish and maintain relationship with important government agencies / industry associations / foreign embassies / third parties. Leveraging governmental relationship to assist in permits and license application process. 2. Arrange high-level meetings and attend public events, identify potential risks / business opportunities and advocate for the interest of Xiaomi. 3. Tackle market access constraints, product compliance and various ad hoc corporate issues that might arise from government agencies. 4. Engage directly with policymakers, government agencies to shape policy and political dialogue which impact Xiaomi business objective. Manage policy projects on opportunities affecting Xiaomi products area (including, user privacy, content, competition and cross industry relations). 5. Design, implement and execute country-specific government affairs programs which tied up with government bodies key programs and interests. 6. Collaborate cross-functionally with local business units (e.g. Products, Marketing, Public Relation, Legal) and advise on policy and political implications of product development and market operations. 7. Be part of local crisis management team to liaison with government agencies during crisis. Lead incident response relating to government requirement, negotiate with government authorities to advocate for business priorities, and appropriately escalate when needed to drive solution.
This role focuses on govt and regulatory matters that are particular to Xiaomi automotive business in Malaysia. Serving as primary governmental liaison, this role will mainly involve in engaging externally and internally to support automotive business operation, including but not limited to: 1. Establish and maintain relationship with govt ministries / regulatory agencies / industry associations (in particular, MIDA, MITI, MARii, Customs, JPJ, etc). Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to advocate common industry interests and support business objectives. 2. Arrange high-level meetings and attend public events, identify potential risks / business opportunities and advocate for the interest of Xiaomi automotive business. 3. Tackle market access constraints, product compliance and various ad hoc issues that might arise from govt agencies. Facilitate regulatory approvals and documentation. 4. Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in govt regulations, policies, and legislation affecting the automotive industry. 5. Coordinate internally on applications, renewals, and reporting for tax incentives, import duty exemptions, and govt incentive program, with agencies such as MIDA, MITI, MARii, Customs. 6. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and advise on policy and political implications of product development and CKD & CBU market operations. 7. Be part of local crisis management team to liaison with govt agencies during crisis. Lead incident response relating to govt requirement, negotiate with govt authorities to advocate for business priorities, and appropriately escalate when needed to drive solution.
1. Build and maintain relationship with public authorities at different levels related to Xiaomi business, including ministries, local authorities etc. 2. Provide in-depth analysis of industry policies and regulations related to Xiaomi’s business in Europe, identifying and monitoring potential risks and giving policy advice. 3. Coordinate industrial association memberships relevant to Xiaomi’s business and develop and manage a network of contacts with industrial partners. 4. Represent Xiaomi’s position in regular interactions with different actors in government, think tanks, international organizations and other public agencies. 5. Collaborate cross-functionally with local business units (such as R&D, sales and marketing teams) and provide support for relevant issues. 6. Assist various business teams to conduct policy analysis and facilitate activities on European level.

Establish, plan and execute the engagement strategies with key public-sector stakeholders with a view of enhancing the Company’s corporate positioning. Strategize and execute effective public affairs programmes, and manage the relationship and communication with all stakeholders. Forge and maintain partnerships with institutions such as universities, research institutes, industry associations, and industry alliances to foster greater cooperation within the ecosystem and maintain network of industry leaders. Collect, organize, and analyze national/regional and industry policies and regulations, providing policy support for the company's business development and high-level decision-making. Assist and perform other corporate development affairs duties as required. and publicity.
Automotive Public Affairs Manager (EU and Belgium/Netherlands) Responsibilities • Monitor and analyse EU legislative and policy developments with a focus on automotive, e-mobility, digital and trade policy, and assess their business impact. • Develop and implement EU public affairs and advocacy strategies aligned with the company’s commercial and regulatory objectives. • Build, manage and maintain relationships with EU institutions, including the European Commission, European Parliament, Council, Member State representations, industry associations and relevant NGOs, as well as stakeholders in Belgium and the Netherlands. • Draft clear and concise policy briefings, position papers, consultation responses and internal management updates on regulatory risks and opportunities. • Represent the company in meetings, hearings, roundtables, working groups and industry events in Brussels and across Europe. • Coordinate closely with internal teams such as business units, legal, sustainability, and communications to ensure consistent policy positioning.
