工作职责

Location: Shenzhen/Xiamen/Taiwan

About the Role:
We are building Eve, a next-generation facial skin scanner that delivers clinic-grade imaging through multi-mode illumination (e.g., cross/parallel polarization, VIS, NIR/IR, UV/Wood’s). We’re looking for an Optical Engineer to own end-to-end optical system design—from illumination architecture and imaging optics to IR tuning, calibration, validation, and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
● Define and architect the imaging optics + illumination system for a facial skin scanner (full-face coverage, consistent lighting, repeatable results).
● Design and integrate multi-mode illumination: cross-polarized / parallel-polarized visible, NIR/IR illumination, UV/Wood’s, including LED selection, optical path, diffusers/light guides, polarizers, filters, baffles, and stray-light control.
● Lead IR/NIR tuning end-to-end:
Define IR wavelength strategy (e.g., 850/940nm) and component selection (emitters, bandpass filters, lenses, sensor sensitivity).
Tune IR illumination intensity, uniformity, and thermal stability (aging, temperature drift, binning).
Collaborate with ISP/algorithm teams on IR image pipeline tuning (exposure/gain, denoise, shading correction, hot pixels, temporal stability).
Establish IR calibration (flat-field/shading, spectral response consistency, cross-device normalization) and factory tuning flow.
● Drive camera + lens selection and optical performance targets (MTF/DOF, distortion, FOV, vignetting, spectral response for VIS + NIR).
● Perform optical simulation and tolerance analysis (uniformity, polarization extinction, IR stray-light & ghosting, vignetting, distortion, alignment sensitivity).
● Build/iterate prototypes; own optical validation (uniformity maps, SNR, resolution, polarization efficiency, IR sensitivity and repeatability, spectral validation).
● Work cross-functionally with ME/EE/FW/ID/Manufacturing to ensure mechanical integration, eye-safety considerations, manufacturability, and reliability.
● Create optical specifications, DVP&R, and support EVT/DVT/PVT builds; manage suppliers/ODMs and production ramp.
