OverviewMicrosoft 365 and Copilot rely on some of the world's largest telemetry and data platforms. Every day, massive amounts of data flow through Azure Storage, Cosmos, and Blueshift to power engineering insights, reliability monitoring, performance analysis, and operational decision making across Microsoft's cloud services.

The SWIQ Performance team is focused on making these platforms more efficient, scalable, and cost effective. We partner with engineering teams across Microsoft 365 to reduce infrastructure costs, improve resource utilization, and simplify operations through automation and intelligent tooling.

We're looking for an engineer who enjoys digging into large-scale systems, finding opportunities hidden in data, and turning ideas into production solutions. In this role, you'll work on challenges such as storage optimization, capacity reduction, telemetry platform efficiency, and AI-native transformation. You'll have the opportunity to see your work translate directly into meaningful improvements in platform efficiency and operational cost savings.

This is a great opportunity to learn how Microsoft runs large-scale cloud services while developing expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, big data platforms, and emerging AI technologies.
