工作职责
In this role, you will be a key member of the Systems Engineering team working on Physical layer control for 3GPP LTE and NR technologies. As a Wireless Systems Engineer, your day-to-day work will involve crafting and optimizing the fundamental control mechanisms that enable high performance cellular communication on Apple product. Your key responsibilities will include: Scope different physical layer control procedures in LTE and NR, identify performance trade-offs, and design innovative control procedures Identify dependencies between physical layer and upper layers to optimize control concepts Participate in cross-feature impact analysis to determine how physical layer procedures impact other systems and strive for jointly optimized algorithms Consider end-user experience and scalability aspects as integral parts of algorithm design Support hardware and software development teams from design through commercialization by defining test procedures and debug methodologies Collaborate with and lead multi-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet Apple's high standards for performance and user experience
Bring up iPhone/iPad modem systems in close collaboration with other baseband teams and hardware teams. Build, develop and optimize firmware control and adaption algorithm to improve field performance, factory yield and testability. Making validation plan and validate the cellular firmware on different platforms.
- Participate in design and development of next generation iPhone from concept to mass production. - Be the flexible or rigid board integrator to initialize and refine the design with PD, layout, DFM and technology teams from concept to production. - Be the technical owner at CM’s site to support various engineering builds ranging from Proto, EVT to PVT. Represent the EE team in a cross-functional team environment. - Be able to identify EE related issues in the field. Drive resolution of cross-functional issues including those related to architecture (performance, power consumption, thermal behavior), production (quality, failure analysis, manufacturing), and development (schematic design, PCB layout, and overall system integration).
Leading and interacting with our contract manufacturers’ EE teams, driving them to delivery high quality work during NPI stage, including validation, failure analysis and design review. Develop understanding for an Apple-designed product through schematics and datasheets, as well as interactions with the Cupertino based design team Occasional circuit or system design, including component selection, schematic collection, board design and fabrication, and validation Work together with cross-function team to define test plan/coverage. Help on schematic and PCB design/review etc.
