Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Optical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Physics) or a related technical field. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively engage, influence, and present to partners at all levels. • 6+ years of experience in Engineering Program Management, Technical Program Management, or a similar role within a technology-driven industry. • 2+ years of direct people management experience, leading and developing technical program managers or engineering teams. • Good working knowledge of algorithm pipelines, camera module technology, and/or depth sensing technologies. • 5+ years relevant industry experience in one or more technologies: display, motion sensing, optical sensing, touch sensing, camera and depth sensing technologies. • Good understanding of NPI process, metrology development principles and best practices. Preferred Qualifications • Background in one or more of the following: optical metrology, motion-sensing metrology, touch metrology, image sensor technology, computer vision algorithms, 3D sensing (e.g., ToF, Structured Light). • Understanding of hardware/software architecture and interoperability of complex systems • Knowledge of statistical data analysis, design, process and test FMEA. • High volume consumer electronics calibration, testing and manufacturing experience. • Technical leadership and/or project management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to bring focus and transparency to complex situations while monitoring the bigger picture and the needs of a rapid development cycle.

• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse, multi-functional team of Engineering Program Managers (EPMs), fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Drive team performance and individual growth. • Stakeholder Partnership: Establish, continuously maintain, and nurture robust functional partnerships with key partners across Apple (Engineering, Operations, Product and Research) - across timezones and continents Engineering, Product, and other multi-functional teams globally. • Strategic Alignment & Roadmap Influence: Work proactively with key HWTE technology partners in Europe, US and Asia to review and understand technology/module roadmaps. Ensure strategic alignment between new technology investments and the development of appropriate, scalable, and forward-looking metrology solutions. • Technical Program Execution: Lead all aspects of and drive successful execution of metrology development and algorithm pipelines from concept through to mass production for complex technologies. Support NPI builds/ characterization activities at CM/OEM partners.
The Technology Program Office in Hardware Test Engineering (HWTE) champions technology calibration and test strategy while balancing between quality/customer experience with operational requirements. In this highly cross functional role, we are looking for leaders to engage in early stages of technology development supporting prototyping, design validation, simulation & metrology development activities, as well as identifying mass production intent solutions. This would require proactively driving alignment and convergence plan with cross functional teams, identifying risks & mitigating them — all while presenting frequently to senior leadership across Apple.
• Lead on product prototyping and factory manufacturing for MLB (main logic board) and Flex globally • Establish and manage build material readiness, schedule, critical path, and risks • Lead cross-functional collaboration, including Product Design, Electrical engineer, CE, DFM, wireless, Flex, reliability and operations • Drive components vendors and iPhone SMT factories day-to-day activities to meet project objectives and work closely with system EPM on system integration needs • Drive day-to-day build material readiness and manage build goal and matrix • Plan and execute product prototype builds • Communicate and present in various forums to wide ranges of audiences • Understand and deal well with rapid development cycles. - Drive product development across internal teams and external development/manufacturing partners as the Single Threaded Owner for Operations. - Develop manufacturing and supply chain strategies to meet product requirements. - Support product concept development as Operations lead. - Execute development builds by overseeing technical issue resolution and production schedule. - Regular written and verbal communication to Leadership. - Coordinate information flow across teams in support of manufacturing/operations. - Drive alignment of processes and initiatives throughout Device Operations organization. - Define and guide decisions on type of Variable Engagement Module (VEM) appropriate for the specific product, customer need, and launch schedule. - Bring in and incorporate industry best practices into the Product Operations group. - Travel as required to accomplish business needs.
As a Hardware Technical Program Manager, you will engage with an experienced inter-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with cross functional teams to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, test and delivery. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. The Hardware Technical Program Manager will lead internal inter-disciplinary teams through the product execution phase process. The candidate will work with oversea team to create the project plan, including the schedule. You will work with the Product Manager to derive the product requirements and obtain executive approval. The Hardware Technical Program Manager will drive and motivate the cross-functional team to deliver the product(s) as per the agreed-to requirements and cross-functionally manage other internal team members. The Hardware Technical Program Manager will be responsible for the coordination, and provide the assistance on planning of all engineering builds at the supplier and driving the configuration management deliverables to ensure the timely release of all assemblies to production.
