• Bachelors/Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Perl/Python scripts to automate test suites for IOT for regression test.
• In-depth knowledge of the entire protocol stack needed (PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC). Utilize knowledge of PHY to realize the full potential of newly introduced RATs to ensure correct interoperability.

You will be hands-on, relying upon diagnostics, analytics, lab/field experimentations as well as code/architecture review to exploit the opportunities for improvement. You will work with platform architecture, standardization, firmware/protocol development, system test & carrier engineering teams to drive improvement proposals and baseband optimizations. Our members enjoy the flexibility to be involved in all aspects of Protocol software - PHY, RF, SIM, NAS, AS, IP, TCP/UDP and iOS interfaces, to ensure the most robust and customer friendly software. - Responsible for interoperability functions across cellular infrastructure vendors. - Oversee all infrastructure vendors and their technical operations. - Responsible for deep vendor engagement from Roadmap feature alignment required for development tests to planning, execution, reporting and technical alignments with vendors. - Report to higher management of progress made, issues seen, solutions found and next steps. Design test specifications across 3GPP specifications encompassing radio access technologies like GSM, WCDMA, LTE and 5G (SA and NSA) and core technologies related to EPC and IMS. - Perform deep-dives with infrastructure vendors to understand the implementation features with an IOT impact to the device and KPI hits to operators. - Engage with Software developers in the Org to understand new features and enhancements that we bring into our products including features which may already be in the standard specifications (like 3GPP) or introduced on top of existing framework. - Run tests and validate existing software architecture and implementation and suggest key changes and upgrades to enhance it further. - Gauge the Functional and Performance impacts of baseband to various Applications running on our products which is key to great user experience. - Perform comparative device testing and analysis of a suite of apps against different software builds as well as against different infrastructure network deployment configurations.
You will join a dynamic team focusing on improving the cellular stability and performance of the latest iPhone/iPad/Watch. Your job responsibilities will include but not limited to below points: - Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to execute 5G/4G cellular test jobs, analyze test results to identify in-depth and potential stability and KPI issues, generate analysis reports, and provide data-driven insights for problem resolution. - Developing natural language-based Chatbot tools tailored to the team's needs, enabling efficient information retrieval, test-related consultation, and automated interaction in the cellular stability testing workflow. - Applying AI methods to optimize the team's test strategies, test cases, and related processes for cellular stability testing, enhancing test coverage, accuracy, and resource utilization.

The Role: Tesla is seeking a senior Wireless System Test Engineer. This engineer will be responsible for validating cellular connectivity performance and follow up on issues documentation, reproduction, and real-time debugging. This engineer will work closely with service teams and development teams to contribute to improve car connectivity system performance and user experience across different platforms and carrier network continuously. Responsibilities: • Develop system performance validation strategy and test plan for cellular connectivity system performance • Execution of tests to verify that behavior of modem functions conforms to specifications, in live network environment (Static/Drive Test) • Document, root-cause and follow up on cellular connectivity issues found in internal, beta, field and vendor testing • Verification of field related issues and drive closure for the fix • Optimize cellular system performance validation tools (on/off fleet) throughput fleet lifecycle • Work closely with carrier operator and service provider on cellular related project and issue
THE ROLE Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Wireless Software Development Engineer for the Wireless Systems team to develop best in class telematics solutions. The role involves design and validation of cellular (LTE and 5G) based solutions for telematics systems across Tesla vehicle platforms (S, 3, X, Y, ...). The position requires working closely with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently, and creatively solving challenging design problems is of paramount importance. This position involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with tight timing constraints. RESPONSIBILITIES o Integrate connectivity stack provided by SoC vendors into Tesla operating system o Contribute to Tesla’s wireless connectivity stack – Cellular. o Develop new features in well organized, efficient, and scalable C++ code. o Develop telemetry and analytics platform enabling data collection, analysis and visualization of data reported from Tesla fleet. o Conduct various scenarios of SW driven validations to ensure wireless connectivity performance of Tesla fleet. o Root-cause issues reported from different test scenarios and customers. o Contribute to rapid prototyping and evaluation of Tesla’s next generation wireless platforms. o Implement continuous improvements and best practices within the team, and larger organization.
