Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.The Autonomous Vehicles Verification and Validation (AV V&V) team is hiring a Validation Data Engineer to build tooling, perform large‑scale analysis, and drive data‑driven evaluation of vehicle‑level behavior and Operational Design Domain (ODD) coverage during scaled testing. We are a core part of how NVIDIA scales and validates DRIVE AV software across regions, customers, and vehicle platforms, and we're looking for someone who is excited to help shape the future of safe autonomous driving!
What You’ll Be Doing:
• In this role, you will work on large‑scale driving behavior and ODD analysis using extensive real-world and virtual AV driving logs to evaluate safety, comfort, and overall vehicle-level performance.
• Implement and improve evaluation frameworks, data pipelines, and data curation strategies to support robust analysis across thousands of test miles every single day.
• Define and compute core metrics that quantify AV performance against target ODDs, powering our product development flywheel, technical reviews, and AV software releases.
• Contribute to scalable workflows that use cloud platforms, modern data engineering tools, and AI workflows to surface insights, spot regressions, and enable data‑driven decision making.

Context Leads a complex technical design or has ownership of a module that requires contribution from several engineers. Starts thinking about modules / influences other parts of modules; oversees several components that are linked (module). Leading on mono-disciplinary designs / projects, taking industrialization into account. Works with engineers of teams of adjacent /collaborating FCs/ICs, interfaces within team of a train or multiple products. Interfaces with suppliers or customers as member of a larger team. Looks at problems from multiple known angles and proposes different ‘out of the box’ solutions to choose from, in an environment with technical uncertainty. Balances between quality and timely delivery. Acts autonomously in own area of expertise, working independently on complex design engineering tasks, defines design solution. Works towards given results, with freedom to decide how to realize these. Independently applies and adheres to quality standards (e.g. D&E handbook). Guides 1-2 engineers in development of specific part or module. Designs, develops, tests and integrates software for ASML’s machines and applications. Implements analytics, data, control and algorithms applications that give ASML customers the power to reach optimal performance during manufacturing.
Key responsibilities for this role include providing critical on-site support for factory builds during early prototype and engineering build phases of various Apple programs leading up to Mass Production. This requires you to be able to dig deep into any problems that may arise during a factory build and think critically to help resolve them in a fast paced, data driven environment. You will be expected to meet a high standard for analysis and manufacturing discipline, and work with cross functional teams all around the world to enable us to pass all specifications and requirements necessary to ship a product. - System bring-up, characterisation, testing and validation - System-level problem solving - failure analysis, root cause & corrective action proposal - Debug test sequences on automated test equipment - Design of Experiments (DOE) creation, execution and data analysis - Write technical documentation (Eg. requirements, specifications and test plans) - Review and analyse build data to help inform critical program decisions. Provide detailed build report summaries and present findings with clear summaries and takeaways. - Frequent business travel required, up to or exceeding 50%. (Primarily within China. To a lesser extent New Zealand and USA)
• - Design, develop, optimize, review and debug software used in interacting with product, instrumentation and motion control systems. • - Specify and acquire instruments, components and tools for use in a NPI environment • - Collaborate with multi-functional teams to specify and implement test coverage • - Conduct HW/SW/FW validation and FA for testing metrology, instruments and systems by technical benchmarking (ex: Gauge R&R process) • - Run simulations or experiments to make data driven decisions and presenting results to senior management • - Deploy calibration and performance verification stations throughout the NPI cycle • - Generate reports that analyze large amounts of NPI camera/display performance data • - Debug devices from the system level down to the component level • - Redefine existing algorithms to optimize for performance or execution time • - Balance decisions between engineering asks and manufacturing efficiency while ensuring product quality
