Key responsibilities for this role include providing critical on-site support for factory builds during early prototype and engineering build phases of various Apple programs leading up to Mass Production. This requires you to be able to dig deep into any problems that may arise during a factory build and think critically to help resolve them in a fast paced, data driven environment. You will be expected to meet a high standard for analysis and manufacturing discipline, and work with cross functional teams all around the world to enable us to pass all specifications and requirements necessary to ship a product. - System bring-up, characterisation, testing and validation - System-level problem solving - failure analysis, root cause & corrective action proposal - Debug test sequences on automated test equipment - Design of Experiments (DOE) creation, execution and data analysis - Write technical documentation (Eg. requirements, specifications and test plans) - Review and analyse build data to help inform critical program decisions. Provide detailed build report summaries and present findings with clear summaries and takeaways. - Frequent business travel required, up to or exceeding 50%. (Primarily within China. To a lesser extent New Zealand and USA)

• - Design, develop, optimize, review and debug software used in interacting with product, instrumentation and motion control systems. • - Specify and acquire instruments, components and tools for use in a NPI environment • - Collaborate with multi-functional teams to specify and implement test coverage • - Conduct HW/SW/FW validation and FA for testing metrology, instruments and systems by technical benchmarking (ex: Gauge R&R process) • - Run simulations or experiments to make data driven decisions and presenting results to senior management • - Deploy calibration and performance verification stations throughout the NPI cycle • - Generate reports that analyze large amounts of NPI camera/display performance data • - Debug devices from the system level down to the component level • - Redefine existing algorithms to optimize for performance or execution time • - Balance decisions between engineering asks and manufacturing efficiency while ensuring product quality

The Role: The SQE is responsible for NPI and Sustaining Quality at suppliers for parts, components and sub-assemblies throughout their lifecycles. The ideal candidate owns managing several high priority activities including production yield reviews, lead and facilitate resolutions for issues at IQC, IPQC, OBA, OQC, ORT and customer complaints, conduct regular line audits, develop and facilitate DOEs, coordinate and manage cosmetic limit samples selections, develop presentations and reports, interact and provide direction to suppliers, as well as work closely with PQEs and CMs to analyze and resolve issues between manufacturing partners and suppliers. In addition, the position will own facilitating and executing the part/component validation, performance and reliability test executions, and ensure process effectiveness and compliance between the suppliers, contract manufacturers and eero operations. What you'll do: - Be the primary quality representative for supplier quality activities - Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) to make sure samples comply with drawings and specifications prior to production start or after any changes - Own implementation, validation and continuous monitoring of supplier’s IQC, IPQC and OQC to ensure proper process FMEA, quality control plans, SOPs, SIPs, operator/inspector training, equipment and documentation are implemented and followed - Determine strategies for continuous improvement in supplier quality and supply chain metrics. - Manage supplier's corrective actions system (investigation, documentation and implementation of corrective action and the verification of their effectiveness) - Conduct supplier audits including new supplier selection and regular process/product audits to existing suppliers, and effectively drive findings closures by proposing and implementing necessary CAPA - Coordinate and manage cosmetic waivers and limit sample selections and allocations for all involved stakeholders - Take lead process capability assessment, measurement system analysis, MSOP & correlation and SPC implementations at supplier site - Initialize the review and approval for supplier PPAP - Contribute to final product release activities in accordance with established procedures, production schedules and gate exit requirements - Develop and prepare documentation, post reports, drive quality metrics and communication - Drive respective teams responsible for issues until a decision or solution is reached - Track issue and task progresses in JIRA and understand BOM components, layout and drawings with a PLM system (i.e. Arena, Agile, etc.)
