Working experience on AMD or Intel x86 platforms Performance optimization/tuning and debugging experience on x86 platforms is required Familiar with Linux at kernel or driver level Experience on compiler and math libraries such as gcc, AMD AOCC, Intel ICC, and MPI, OpenMPI etc. Experience on variety of technology such as KVM, Kubernetes, Qemu, Container, DPDK, SDPK, No sequal databases etc. Commercial HPC experience and Datacenter GPU knowledge is a big plus JOB DESCRIPTION: The FAE/Software Architect position will work with AMD account managers closely to penetrate China enterprise market quickly. Specifically, this role will provide technical support to enterprise customers, server OEM/ODM and ISV partners of AMD that build their solutions on AMD EYPC based servers to solve technical and product issues on customers’ workloads or applications via e-mail, wechat, phone call and often on site with medium travel frequencies. 3+ years previous technical experience is required. Ability to take ownership of technical and product issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and be able to communicate in English fluently. Excellent organizing skills that enable effective multitasking in an interrupt driven environment. A team player that is able to work with different functional units to meet the customers’ needs. Proactive, self-direction and highly disciplined. Oversee experience or education is a plus. The Software Architect position will work at AMD RCOm Lab in Nanjing to support enterprise customers, server OEM/ODM partners of AMD as well as ISV users that build their AI solutions on AMD Instinct / Radeon GPU products. He will need to provide support to our partners and end customers via e-mail, phone call, wechat and often on site with medium travel frequencies. Excellent customer skills with a proven ability to work with demanding customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and be able to communicate in English fluently. Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner. Provide technical training to customers as required. Proactive, self-direction and highly disciplined. Oversee experience is a plus. The Role: providing front-line support and working with different functional teams to solve technical issues of AMD Instinct GPU and/or Radeon GPU on AI applications including LLM and RAG etc.
Provide deep technical support to customers in their selection and use of AMD development tools, silicon and IP products that ensure success POC design creation to demonstrate AMD’s values on silicon, HW acceleration, performance, etc. in order to create design wins Provide technical leadership and guidance that focuses on design win strategies for all customer opportunities Analyze customer needs, and compare and contrast AMD and competitive solutions in order to maximize the customers use of AMD products Collaborate with field and factory resources to develop and deliver technical proposals to customer project managers, engineering managers, system architects and design engineers Code and implement circuits to demonstrate efficient use of AMD technology and competitive advantages to secure design wins Provide all post-sales support, including performance tuning lab debug, timing closure and analysis, RTL coding and simulation, pinout creation, power analysis, and board design feedback Provide regular feedback to AMD management and factory experts on the needs of the customer base
