The person is responsible for product test time, test coverage, test yield and meeting committed schedules for new product production bring up. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop system level test program during silicon bring up, sample generation, qualification and mock production Work closely across multiple internal and external team for test program execution Support production on program issue debugging as well as cost improvement effort Ensure test program alignment across all stages of manufacturing Support customer issues, including investigation and debugging of diagnostics scripting if necessary Initiative on test flow excellence as well as maintain competitiveness Participate or lead in multi-function activities

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - SLT THE ROLE: Asia test program owner that governs system and platform level test insertions, developing and optimizing test program, supporting production bring up, sustaining, issue debugging and continuous improvement for product indices. Working with regional teams extensively including product management, product engineering, NPI, software infrastructure team and hardware infrastructure team on the test solutions optimization.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - PE THE ROLE: MTS Product (Yield) Development Engineer to play an import role of improving yield and optimizing cost of AMD products, have chance to involve in advanced processor development technology, data analysis and test method, and work with “world class” semiconductor engineering teams all over the world
Apply your Mechanical Engineering experience and work multi-functionally with Product Design Engineering and Industrial Design to assess product features for manufacturability, and recommend capable production processes and equipment. With multiple material machining experience, have expertise in CNC process development, assess CNC machining process flow, review CNC fixture design DFM and drive improvement, apply proper datum to minimize tolerance stack-up, scope machining program to improve process capability and optimize c/t, develop advanced cutters with proper coating for some special use such like high shinny surface, fine texture surface, minimize burrs by cutter improvement. Lead the machine calibration criteria setup and implementation, figure out how to recover the machine accuracy by maintenance and or retrofit, down-select machine base on machine capability and process requirement, work with vendor to develop brand-new equipment from RFQ to machine validation, finally qualify machine and implementation to fulfill process requirement. Working with suppliers to define and refine mechanical tool and fixtures, which can secure the dimension and cosmetic requirement, establish process capability and readiness. Lead the c/t reduction in the NPI stage to hit the MP target. Review/define vendor’s in process control spec base on downstream process and 2D drawing requirement, define part tolerance and specifications by demonstrating process capability to Product Designers and Industrial Designers. Identify, research, develop, and qualify premier equipment manufacturers and suppliers to develop sophisticated equipment for special process use and fulfill supply chain requirement. Provide leadership at manufacturing sites during development and product production ramp. Coordination of activities and direction through clear communication between Asia and US-based teams, and vendors is a necessity. Work closely with Manufacture Design Engineers in the development of above said processes. Work with Global Supply Managers to assess facility, floor layout, provide engineering support to secure deliver material to downstream CM vendor on time and on cost. Work with Manufacture Quality Engineers to drive yield improvement through SPC, Pareto data review to take activities accordingly.

THE ROLE: MTS Software development engineer on teams building and optimizing Deep Learning applications and AI frameworks for AMD GPU compute platforms. Work as part of an AMD development team and open-source community to analyze, develop, test and deploy improvements to make AMD the best platform for machine learning applications. THE PERSON: Strong technical and analytical skills in C++ development in a Linux environment. Ability to work as part of a team, while also being able to work independently, define goals and scope and lead your own development effort. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Optimize Deep Learning Frameworks: In depth experience in enhance and optimize frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch for AMD GPUs in open-source repositories. Develop GPU Kernels: Create and optimize GPU kernels to maximize performance for specific AI operations. Develop & Optimize Models: Design and optimize deep learning models specifically for AMD GPU performance. Collaborate with GPU Library Teams: Work tightly with internal teams to analyze and improve training and inference performance on AMD GPUs. Collaborate with Open-Source Maintainers: Engage with framework maintainers to ensure code changes are aligned with requirements and integrated upstream. Work in Distributed Computing Environments: Optimize deep learning performance on both scale-up (multi-GPU) and scale-out (multi-node) systems. Utilize Cutting-Edge Compiler Tech: Leverage advanced compiler technologies to improve deep learning performance. Optimize Deep Learning Pipeline: Enhance the full pipeline, including integrating graph compilers. Software Engineering Best Practices: Apply sound engineering principles to ensure robust, maintainable solutions.
