- Excellent hardware selection, safety design, and programming logic capabilities

The Role We are seeking an experienced Automation Control Engineer with an automotive industry background and solid knowledge of PLC/HMI.This role will significantly strengthen our internal automation capability by improving quality, reducing project timelines, lowering overall integration cost, and driving scalable standardization across future builds. Responsibilities: - Architect, write, and debug Ladder Logic and structured text logic with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable & reusable with error handling & recovery. - PLC code will interact with subsystems such as conveyors, welding, various testers, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), machine vision & other third-party equipment - Create standard templates for PLC Logic and HMI screens and troubleshooting - Create machine operating templates for troubleshooting and debugging common issues with root cause and solutions - Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits - Create controls requirements in project RFQ, review integrators’ controls architecture, PLC & HMI programs - Later stages of projects – support on-site commissioning and troubleshooting - Ability to lead a team and train future team members on functionality of full processes from project start to finish - Spearhead your own continuous improvement efforts to meet the teams’ future goals for providing turnkey solutions for custom automation projects. - Ability to lead electrical system design and program module development for small to large-scale projects - Ability to direct the team in completing electrical diagram drafting, equipment selection and on-site commissioning work - Proficient in standardized, regulated, and modular programming development - Establish and maintain effective communication and cooperative relationships with on-site project teams, Tiers, external suppliers and contractors, to ensure the project progresses smoothly according to project schedule.

Based on architecture standards set by the headquarters IT architecture team, test and validate local products, drive procurement execution, and complete device purchases. Collaborate with the headquarters IT architecture team and local service providers to complete the purchases, installation, configuration, and upgrade of network equipment and low-voltage systems (e.g. CCTV, access control systems, racks, and cabling). Manage local system integration projects to ensure effective implementation of solutions as guided by headquarters' technical requirements, while optimizing execution according to local needs. Develop and implement localized IT solutions. Ensure IT infrastructure maintenance and operations align with headquarters standards. Monitor the quality of office network using tools provided by headquarters IT, gather user feedback, and design and implement corresponding improvements. Track, manage, and Inventory local IT infrastructure resources (including equipment inventories and supplier collaboration) and resolve local application and service issues, and ensure the integrity of IT infrastructure. Coordinate local service provider resources to ensure rapid problem resolution and efficient use of personnel, equipment, and time to meet project needs effectively. Provide standard operating procedures and documentation support, regularly reporting progress on localized solutions to headquarters.
