The Role We are seeking an experienced Automation Control Engineer with an automotive industry background and solid knowledge of PLC/HMI.This role will significantly strengthen our internal automation capability by improving quality, reducing project timelines, lowering overall integration cost, and driving scalable standardization across future builds. Responsibilities: - Architect, write, and debug Ladder Logic and structured text logic with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable & reusable with error handling & recovery. - PLC code will interact with subsystems such as conveyors, welding, various testers, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), machine vision & other third-party equipment - Create standard templates for PLC Logic and HMI screens and troubleshooting - Create machine operating templates for troubleshooting and debugging common issues with root cause and solutions - Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits - Create controls requirements in project RFQ, review integrators’ controls architecture, PLC & HMI programs - Later stages of projects – support on-site commissioning and troubleshooting - Ability to lead a team and train future team members on functionality of full processes from project start to finish - Spearhead your own continuous improvement efforts to meet the teams’ future goals for providing turnkey solutions for custom automation projects. - Ability to lead electrical system design and program module development for small to large-scale projects - Ability to direct the team in completing electrical diagram drafting, equipment selection and on-site commissioning work - Proficient in standardized, regulated, and modular programming development - Establish and maintain effective communication and cooperative relationships with on-site project teams, Tiers, external suppliers and contractors, to ensure the project progresses smoothly according to project schedule.
• Define clear vision and roadmap for productivity efficiency improvement solutions in alignment with business needs, and drive execution from design through delivery. • Lead cross-function engineering teams on project deliverables commitment to streamline the system design and verification process and workflow. • Partner with global automation and Infrastructure teams to design, build, and maintain large-scale, cloud-based and on-premises infrastructures. • Stay hands-on technically, providing architectural guidance on complex infrastructure challenges. • Cross-function Collaboration with ASIC, SW, System Design, Product, Security, and Operations teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and ownership. • Continuously improve processes to ensure efficiency, reliability, and adaptability.
• Maintain, improve, and expand our automated test systems across desktop and mobile. • Work with the engine team to identify and automate manual workflows and bottlenecks. • Collaborate with central tech and QA teams to evolve automation processes and workflows. • Identifying and implementing improvements to game engine and other core tech code bases used by live and upcoming games, targeting multiple mobile platforms • Maintaining existing engine and shared codebases used across multiple live products • Engage with the wider development team here at Supercell to help shape the future of our tech
• Own the strategy for internal tools, automations, and digital services within Supercell IT • Build and lead a small, expert team that develops and maintains tools, services and automations for employees • Prioritize and manage the backlog of tool and automation requests across Supercell IT and other teams IT supports • Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure tools, services and automations • Coordinate and manage external partners developing software or integrations for Supercell • Collaborate with other IT function leads and business teams to identify opportunities for new tools and automations • Drive and support company-wide initiatives that improve digital workflows and employee experience • Set long-term vision and goals for tools and automation efforts at Supercell
