The Team: Unlike many companies that make test specifications and then let suppliers build the testers, Tesla develops a lot of testing technologies in house. Core test team is a group of enthusiastic engineers and technicians that develop the most complex and advanced testing solutions for Tesla’s core products including vehicle batteries, super charging and energy storage products. We are heavily relied upon by many other teams to ensure Tesla products are fully tested and meet the highest standard of quality before reaching customers’ hands. Responsibilities: · Lead production tester troubleshooting by reviewing tester software logs and source code, and eventually identifying hardware or software root cause · Deploy testers with other test engineers and technicians. Resolve issues during bring-up · Develop software features that enhance test coverage or tester performance · Drive tester validation including Gage repeatability and reproducibility analysis, fault injection, etc. · Analyze tester performance data including first pass yield, up time and top failure pareto to drive tester and product design improvement
