The Role We seek a highly motivated hands-on mechanical design intern for a position in the Low Voltage Test Engineering group, a team focused on creating robust testing equipment for our vehicle’s low voltage components. This team concentrates on mechanical, electrical, and software test systems supporting our production lines around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team emphasizes collaboration in our work, and always encourages each other have fun while changing the world together. Responsibilities: • Design CAD models of test equipment • Layout electrical/pneumatic schematics • Host, and attend design review meetings • Support build, debug, validate, and tune equipment • Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits • Interact with various design, manufacturing, sustaining, and firmware teams throughout project • Establish great working relationships with vendors • Continually design and implement improvements to released equipment The ideal candidate takes pride in his/her hands-on work, analytical ability, organizational skills and attention to detail. THE ROLE The Safety Restraints intern is responsible for the support of integration, validation and localization of seat belt and airbag systems being manufactured in China. RESPONSIBILITIES • Support new project BOM establish and maintain. • Support 3D and 2D drawing upload and release. • Support engineering issue analyze and engineering change release. • Support project develop timeline monitor and quality related routine affairs. • Engineering meeting minutes record and action plan follow up.
