THE ROLE Tesla is seeking an intern within the Infotainment Team who has knowledge of design, test audio products, specifically speakers, microphones, and amplifiers. This intern should understand the design and application of these components within an audio system. You will be expected to challenge and to be challenged, to create, and to innovate. RESPONSIBILITIES • Support the product testing and development of speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and other audio system products. • Gain a knowledge of our components and audio systems, relative to a vehicle environment and integration. • Perform simulations of these acoustic components, systems, and environments. • Work with cross functional teams to create and/or maintain best in class products. • Troubleshoot, root cause and provide solutions to component and system level failures.
The Role Voice integration engineers within the vehicle software organization work side by side with various cross-functional teams to lead the design and development of voice interaction systems. This role utilizes hardware, software, and system design fundamentals to support product design, voice interaction behaviors definition, prototype bring-up, and validation, with a software focus. Voice integration engineers are responsible for overall functionality and performance of voice interaction systems throughout product life cycle. This role will be responsible for voice recognition, natural language processing, audio processing pipeline, voice commands, and other voice-related features in the vehicle. Responsibilities Distill vehicle product requirements into actionable software requirements for voice services Lead software architecture design of voice interaction products and features Define system hardware and software interfaces for voice processing systems Bring-up and debug early software and hardware prototypes through characterizing the voice systems and ensuring systems perform to
As the intern, you will work with a team of people who are passionate about audio and delivering the best possible user experience. You will drive a transducer design and development, collaborating with our manufacturing partners to mock-up samples and test them. The role involves linear and non-linear computer simulation of electromagnetic, acoustics, and structural mechanics. You will optimize each design aspect for our custom transducers and work with other multi-functional teams to deliver an extraordinary audio experience to millions.
We invent the next generation of the world's finest consumer electronics. As a member of our Audio Product Design team, you would conceive, design, test, solve problems, and bring into production products that re-define the music experience. We work closely with many different multi-functional teams including Industrial Design, Audio Engineering, Radio Frequency, Safety, Hardware Engineering, EMC, Operations and Marketing. Expertly integrating so many different pieces into brand-new products means every single day is different. - Support build activities including finding root cause for failures and solutions for issues that impede build progress. - Building prototypes to validate function, manufacturability, and reliability. - Analyze data generated from builds and design of experiments. - Participate in design reviews to generate and receive constructive feedback. - Perform tolerance analyses to predict performance of mechanisms, sensors, and cosmetic. - Create specifications, detailed design and 2D documentation of parts and assemblies. - Work with operations teams to evaluate and develop supply chains capable of manufacturing new subsystems and products. - Interacting with vendors to develop manufacturing processes and tooling concepts.
