Cell lab equipment technician Job location: Tesla Shanghai cell certification lab Report to: Tesla Shanghai lab manager This test equipment technician will work on a team to help in lithium ion cell performance through cell testing. They will support cycle life test plans and procedures, support engineers to operate test equipment(including daily checking, upgrading and maintenance) and design fixtures under different complex working condition which may over regulation standards. They will be the first-responding problem solvers who manage machine breakdowns and recoveries. This is a physically demanding job working, and utilize other hand tools and power tools as needed. Responsibilities * Perform and calibrate on all battery test equipment and related tools, bench and fixtures. * Diagnose equipment failures - root cause and communicate required actions across relevant teams. * Perform major equipment repairs, update and installations. * Collaborate with Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and maintenance protocols. * Perform corrective maintenance on more than one of these types of equipment: o Electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC o Mechanical systems o Vacuum systems o cooling/fan systems o PLC and networks o Inspection Equipment

该岗位隶属于tesla电池质量团队，负责模组，Pack和售后等等与电芯相关质量问题解决及持续改善，参与电芯新项目的质量预防规划、产品验证等工作。 职责描述： 问题预防与解决： 1. 负责电池车间电芯质量问题的快速响应，联合电芯来料质量等部门制定遏制措施，分析问题发生的根本原因，推动措施的落实和问题的闭环； 2. 统计售后市场电芯不良问题的类型及趋势，挖掘问题发生的根本原因，推动和跟踪措施的落实，推动供应商端系统改善，防止相似问题的发生； 3. 牵头电芯相关质量改善项目，对电池车间和供应商端的电芯质量风险点进行提前识别，预防质量问题的发生； 4. 参与供应商和特斯拉端电芯相关工艺变更的评估和确认； 5. 参与电芯新项目质量检验的策划，包括电芯来料检验、产线检验项目及规格的制定等。 团队协作： 1. 带教工程师及技师，在电芯专业技术上进行辅导，帮助队伍发展成长； 2. 协调工艺/电芯来料质量/工程等团队共同进行问题的解决和预防工作。
THE ROLE: As a cell test engineer, you will join a core technology team tasked with developing cutting edge techniques for investigating the physical and chemical degradation mechanisms in all cell chemistries used in Tesla products. This engineer’s primary role will be to develop and execute targeted test plans that evaluate and qualify novel cell designs from Tesla’s cell vendors. The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding attention to detail, possess strong organization skills, and be motivated to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. RESPONSIBILITIES: Execution and maintenance of lithium ion cell performance tests using common cell cycling equipment, temperature/humidity chambers and recirculating chillers. Write test plans, propose design of experiments and summarize results in test reports. Use test data to optimize cell lifetime by specifying system level usage parameters such as charge algorithms, storage temperatures, cycle temperatures, etc. Coordinate cell level destructive physical analysis and other analytical techniques to analyze mechanisms of energy and power loss in cells. Be a member of a cross functional product development team to help determine the ideal cell chemistry and design for Tesla’s applications.
