Responsibilities Health, Safety and Environment Check compliance to procedures and guidelines regarding quality, safety and health across areas and teams, not limited within own area / team, register performed checks and submit (defect) reports where necessary and/or take action in order to comply. Issue resolution Gather all information relevant for complex technical issues (EL2-EL4), analyze using available means, gather additional diagnostic info if needed, decide on approach to solve problem, assess new information and adapt approach independently if necessary. Ensures the aftercare of the problem and links this to past issues, logs the issue for structural issue resolution, and distributes to the correct owner to drive zero-repeat. Escalation Management Leads complex technical disturbances (EL2-EL4) escalation meetings, identifies and interacts with key stakeholders and participants, moderates brainstorm, formulates conclusions and reports out. Creates and updates a technical analysis report (PCCSIM). Updates key cross-BL stakeholders for EL2-EL3 issues. Process Optimization Drive execution and implementation of improvements and is able to involve and persuade stakeholders. Training and coaching Explains action plans to execution team to correct for ongoing disturbances. Develops and provides training to execution teams in their sub-competence up to JG6 and equivalent. Trains junior colleagues in their sub-competence up to JG6 and equivalent, based on the functional theory, design rules and know-how. Mentors new hires and junior colleagues. Knowledge build-up Maintains and broadens own knowledge within the own sub-competence and has basic knowledge of adjacent sub-competences. Understands other competences. Product launch (if applicable) Provides input for new design based on knowledge from mature products, reviews the agreed design, creates the manufacturing risk assessment and provides input for the FMEAs. Supports for the validation of the new product for manufacturability. Is accountable for issue resolution of protos and pilots of the New Products. Supports in the execution of protos and pilots during manufacturing and install of the New Product, takes ownership of escalated issues and provides containments, documents the issues and shares the knowledge with the manufacturing and D&E counterparts. Is responsible for product performance on first pilot systems.

THE ROLE: Join the AMD AECG (Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group) as the leader of our China Customer Engineering team to further strengthen and grow the team. In this role, you will lead the customer program engagements and deep customer co-engineering supporting Embedded x86 customers in the Greater China market. In this customer-facing role, you will collaborate with local FAE and sales managers, global Customer Applications Engineering teams and R&D Engineering teams, and many other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful, on-time and high-quality deployment of AMD Embedded x86 processors into customer designs from evaluation through development and production. You will also build strong and deep relationships with engineering leaders of the customers and be the influential voice of customer internally. Key market segments are networking, storage, automotive and edge-AI. Reports to: Product Engineering Manager Job Description The Product Engineer will collaborate closely with the design engineering team on new product introduction, and with key suppliers and contract manufacturers on sustaining engineering and cost reduction, to expedite time to market and revenue ramp of high bit rate optical coherent transponders. Key Essential Functions: 1)Lead the yield improvement, drive product, process, quality improvements. 2)Lead the product debug and RMA activities and drive related action to closure. 3)Support cost modelling and lead cost reduction activities with cross function team. 4)Perform and coordinate DFX activities with design, test and process engineering teams. 5)Analyze and correlate performance of key parameters spanning device to sub-system levels to optimize in-process and final test specifications. 6)Create product trouble-shooting guides. 7)Lead failure analysis, root cause identification and corrective action implementation of components, sub-systems and field failures. 8)Approve readiness for volume manufacturing.
The mission of Tesla Materials Engineering organization is to deliver new materials and manufacturing processes that revolutionize Tesla’s products. THE ROLE The team is seeking a Polymer Materials Engineer who can devote the efforts into “Engineering Materials”. This role will be representing Tesla Materials Engineering in China for innovative material/process development. This role will cover polymeric materials and have a special focus on soft trim development and thermoplastic. This role will reside at the Tesla factory in Shanghai. RESPONSIBILITIES • You should have a solid understanding of polymer materials development, characterization, and application, and proficient in designing material structure synthesis/polymerization experiments. You are expected to design and assemble philosophy independently. • Leading specific soft trims (artificial leather, textiles, carpeting, et al) and other thermoplastic materials innovation, development and launch. • Support on-going material application processes for soft trim from work with design engineering, Tier1 and material supplier to ensure solution is robust and optimized. • Lead process validation for new processes (extrusion, mold injection... etc). • Develop new material strategies for both soft trim and thermoplastic materials. • Represent Tesla at local material suppliers in China. • Manage soft trim / thermoplastic material approvals for local material suppliers in China.
