Relevant experience in e-commerce, payments, finance or technology industry would be viewed favourably. - Excellent technical, drafting, negotiation and analytical skills coupled with practical commercial acumen. - Must be a team-player, highly motivated self-starter and eager learner with excellent project management skills. - Demonstrable advocacy and oral and written communication skills, including the ability to influence different business functions. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and to work independently in a fast-paced environment. - Full working proficiency in both English and/or Mandarin will be an advantage.

Ant International Legal Department is seeking a legal counsel to support Antom business operations (in particular the growth initiatives). The role is based in Kuala Lumpur and will primarily support an innovative team that engages in projects with merchant, channels and other partners to increase traffic and engagement. This role supports projects and initiatives of the business unit globally, working side-by-side with a creative team in a dynamic and challenging environment, to support the development and roll-out of novel products or initiatives. The successful candidate should be a sensible advisor and partner to Business and senior management, allowing them to make informed decisions based on risk-based approach and other overarching corporate policies. Job scope 1) Drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts relating to SaaS services, marketing services, advertising and distribution services, framework arrangements, procurement and other collaborations 2) Provide legal support and advice to the international business team on a wide variety of cross-border regulatory matters, including conducting legal analysis on new product initiatives and working closely with compliance, AML and privacy team to ensure regulatory risks are properly managed. 3) Working closely with legal experts from various jurisdictions and multiple disciplines, including financial regulatory, data privacy, intellectual property, tax, etc. 4) Supporting the internal review and approval processes for new initiatives. 5) Keeping abreast of changes in laws and regulations related to payment services, financial services and contracts, and providing updates to the legal team and internal stakeholders. 6) Support legaltech initiatives including creation of standard form documents for automation, adding to regulatory knowhow database etc. 7) Managing external legal counsel as needed in an effective and efficient manner. 8) Escalating issues, as appropriate, and partnering collaboratively with other team members to support the business.

We are seeking a lead Privacy Counsel to support Ant International’s growing Alipay+, Antom and Bettr business. Looking for a tech-savvy privacy lawyer who is passionate about data and eager to work on innovative issues in the fintech space and knowledgeable and experienced in China's Personal Information Protection Law. You are a business enabler. You will work closely with product and tech team, business development personnel, risk management and other legal/compliance/AML professional, and provide strategic advice to enable business growth and innovation in a privacy compliant manner. You are an effective DPO. You will establish, implement, and maintain privacy governance framework for the relevant business line and ensure compliance with applicable data privacy law and regulations. Responsibilities: Privacy Advisory: ● Provide privacy support to new product launches and initiatives in China and collaborate with APAC team for APAC initiatives. ● Analyze products, policies and initiatives to provide practical risk assessment and solution. ● Drive and implement privacy by design, understand the tech and product, and translate privacy principles into actionable product features. ● Support legal team in contract drafting and negotiation for privacy related issues. Privacy Compliance/DPO responsibilities: ● Drive and implement China’s PIPL compliance for the relevant entities as well as other applicable data privacy laws and regulations ● Monitor changes and updates in privacy legislation and advise on potential impacts to the relevant business lines.
• Provide advice on a wide range of legal and business matters in the areas of development, publishing, licensing, technology, operations, marketing, esports and compliance. • Draft and negotiate complex licensing agreements, distribution agreements, professional services agreements, content development agreements, esports partnership agreements, influencer and marketing agreements, advertising network agreements, and other general commercial agreements. • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of policies, forms, trainings, and processes to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with Southeast Asian, US, European, and other international laws and regulations. • Partner cross-functionally to develop creative solutions that balance business objectives with legal compliance and risk mitigation in a constantly evolving industry.
1.Supporting the Hong Kong Listing Rules compliance workstream through:. 2.Ensuring the Company’s compliance with the requirements of the Hong Kong Listing Rules and the guidance materials published by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and providing guidance on the Company’s compliance with the continuing obligations applicable to listed issuers under the Hong Kong Listing Rules. 3.Advising on corporate actions and transactions carried out by the Company from time to time from a Hong Kong Listing Rules compliance perspective. 4.Drafting and reviewing announcements, circulars, regulatory submissions and corporate filings that are required to be issued or submitted by the Company under the Hong Kong Listing Rules on an ongoing basis. 5.Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external advisers to ensure that legal documents can accurately reflect commercial intentions, protect the Company's interests, and mitigate potential risks. 6.Keeping internal stakeholders abreast of changes and developments in the Hong Kong Listing Rules and related guidelines, and reviewing internal documents including group policies from time to time in light of the changes. 7.Supporting the Financing workstream through providing full legal support on the structuring, documentation and execution of a wide range of onshore and offshore financing arrangements (including bilateral and syndicated loans, acquisition finance, investment in financial products, fund management arrangements) such as (1) delivery of practical legal advice; (2) management of transactions, including coordinating with relevant internal departments and management of external counsels; and (3) engaging in the drafting, negotiating and reviewing of a variety of financing documents. 8.Providing legal advice and support in a wide range of corporate matters including advising on corporate governance and other regulatory matters.
