1. Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
2. Solid experience in vehicle testing and validation, in all total vehicle areas mandatory (ride & handling, thermal management, NVH, EMC, etc.)
3. Experience with instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems (e.g. CAN, INCA, Vector tools, etc.)
4. Strong understanding of vehicle systems and their interactions (powertrain, chassis, electronics, etc.)
5. Hands-on experience in test execution, root cause analysis, and issue tracking
6. Analytical mindset, structured working style, and strong team spirit
7. Fluent written and spoken English (report language); German or Chinese skills are a plus
8. Willingness to travel (e.g. proving grounds, climate testing, etc.)

工作职责


1. Plan, coordinate, and execute total vehicle and sub-system tests to validate performance, durability, safety, quality, functions and compliance with relevant standards
2. Support vehicle development from concept through to final validation, including prototype and pre-series testing
3. Take responsibility for the release recommendation (sign-off) of tested systems or components, based on test results and performance evaluation
4. Define and implement test procedures based on technical requirements and regulatory guidelines
5. Operate and monitor vehicle testing equipment and data acquisition systems
6. Analyze test data, document results, and provide detailed technical feedback to development teams
7. Work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and external testing service providers
8. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies, processes, and tools

THE ROLE Interior Engineering Team at Tesla is responsible to design and engineer all interior components inside the Interior Cabin. We are subdivided into 11 internal groups all supporting each other concurrently to execute Tesla Interior Product development programs. Our core responsibility lies in taking a product from Cradle to grave – all the way. This involves Concept creation, Concept Engineering, Production Engineering, Tooling & Manufacturing, Validation and Testing, Launch and Ramp and eventually support with Field reliability. We support the full lifecycle of the Products. Though we are split into different sub-groups to facilitate project execution and future innovations, the team is completely made up of Mechanical and Electromagnetical Engineers only. RESPONSIBILITIES • Design and engineer sub-components for all interior commodities. • Achieve customer-driven interior system targets for luxury, function, cost and weight. • Execute local changes, initiated by the Global Interiors team, of parts and systems according to Tesla Change Management process. • Implement processes and quality to achieve world class execution of automotive interior craftsmanship and fit & finish. • Support the global team in design optimization with the appropriate analytical and physical assessments. • You will be required to prototype parts using 3d printing, put assemblies together in our prototype lab and work on modifying production parts with product changes if needed for testing and evaluation purposes. • You will collaborate with key suppliers and to support overall vehicle launch milestones and prototype/production build events. • Your will collaborate with cross functional teams within the Tesla Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement groups to ensure interior system manufacturing and assembly feasibility and serviceability, and ensure competitive supplier manufacturing, quality and pricing. • You will be responsible for utilizing product engineering processes such as DFMEA and technical documentation - DVP&R and ensure Tesla and supplier manufacturing quality control plans are executed accordingly. • Follow up with suppliers regarding system/part level validation, quality control plans and the engineering elements of PPAP. • Support the homologation team for relevant component approval (e.g. CCC, GB testing) Long Story short – You will work as a Mechanical Design Engineer under a Mentor.

About The Role This engineer within the vehicle firmware organization is responsible for defining and executing system validation test plans. You will work closely with software developers, program managers, and counterparts in the United States to come up with the validation strategies for both released and upcoming Tesla vehicle platforms. You will also work on automated validation bucks to free your hands from regression tests. The scope contains systems such as LV power, authentications, closures, windows, seats and lightings. Additionally, as the system validation representative you will work closely with other component owners as well to ensure our system is well integrated and validated from a full vehicle perspective.
