Minimum Qualifications
• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Solid EE fundamentals
• Hands-on experience in prototype design, bring-up, debugging, functional verification and validations
• Hands on lab equipment experiences including oscilloscopes, DMM’s, power supplies, e-loads, etc.
• Clear English communication for global teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience of end to end high volume consumer products designing
• Hands-on skills in circuit level analysis / simulation
• Programming / scripting skills
• Experience in one or more of following: SOC integration, camera integration, display integration, DC-DC, analog design, audio system design, high speed design, bluetooth, WiFi and other RF hardware, video electronics design, sensor integration, robots, etc.
工作职责
- You will develop understanding for an Apple-designed product through architecture block diagrams, schematics, datasheets, as well as interactions with the global design teams. - You will be responsible for circuit or sub-system design, including architecture, early derivation/simulation analysis, component selection, schematic capture, PCB placement, layout, bring-up, and validation. - You will interact with California design teams frequently; work closely with other teams in Greater China areas as well. - You will interact with our contract manufacturers’ EE teams, driving them to a high level of quality.
Collaborate with US PD for product mechanical design intent, development, validation. • Collaborate with cross function of ID, EE, functional team for product architecture, key component layout, ergonomics. • Conduct in-depth engineering research to get better understanding on critical design issue • Design product structure & select material to fulfil product requirement and spec. • Define spec of dimension and performance for component and product, based on tolerance analysis, risk assessment and engineering validation. • Define design requirement and collaborate with technical operation team for product assembly with correct process (fixture, equipment) to fulfil the requirement. • Be able to review and study the metrology with quality team. • Be able to manage and organize supplier and contract manufacturer to execute study and validation, and conduct statistics analysis to process data for judgement. • Awareness of the engineering cost and be able to reduce design cost from technology standpoint. • Skillfully conduct issue failure analysis and take corrective action to solve product and mechanical issue. • Have strong leadership and ownership for mechanical design and issue resolution, till product end of life. • Highly passionate in engineering study and collaboration with cross function team.

In this role, you'll bridge cutting-edge AI capabilities with robust hardware design, driving products from concept through mass production. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical, hardware, software, and AI) to define the product vision, ensure technical feasibility, and deliver market-ready solutions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Product Strategy & Definition - Lead end-to-end product planning for full-system robotics solutions. - Conduct market research and user needs analysis to define technical specifications, commercialization strategies, and core performance metrics (e.g., motion control precision, multimodal interaction speed). - Own the PRD and establish clear product goals aligned with business objectives. 2. Technology Integration - Translate AI capabilities (motion control, environmental perception, decision-making) into hardware-ready solutions. - Coordinate structural, hardware, and software teams to integrate systems such as sensor fusion, joint actuation, and embedded controls. 3. Lifecycle Ownership - Manage the product journey from concept and design to mass production and delivery. - Define product roadmaps, set and track milestones (TR reviews / DCP decisions), and resolve technical or resource bottlenecks across departments. 4. System Validation & Compliance - Develop and oversee system-level testing, including functional, extreme load, and EMC tests. - Lead performance bottleneck analysis, optimize reliability, and drive CE/FCC certification. 5. Ecosystem & Technology Foresight - Research emerging technologies such as heterogeneous computing platforms and advanced sensors. - Foster a robotics developer ecosystem and transition pre-research innovations into marketable products.
Role: Tesla Energy is looking for a motivated Firmware Integration Engineer to bring the next generation of Residential and Industrial charging products to the market. As a member of the Firmware Integration team, you will be responsible for delivering high quality firmware, software, and hardware to the manufacturing line. You will architect the software solutions for manufacturing quality Energy products (e.g. Powerwall, Megapack) in our factories. Rethink manufacturing processes and test equipment dependency with our in-house product and design teams. Engineer a software stack capable of ultra-high volume production capacity across our entire supply chain. Ensure flexibility within our product design and manufacturing test functionality to achieve critical business objectives. You will have the opportunity to solve challenging problems on the production line and in the field. Collaborate closely with hardware, manufacturing, and service engineering to design firmware and automation solutions for a seamless commissioning experience. Interact with engineers from multiple teams. · Hands-on with hardware bring up, debug issues and devise solution paths. · Provide technical and leadership excellence for the team. You will make critical decisions and lead from the front with support from experienced engineers. · The position duties may require travel to Tesla and/or supplier factories.
