In this role you will partner with controls systems developers, motor, actuation, sensor and power electronics engineers to develop and manufacture systems, test stations and evaluation benches for pre-production hardware. 面向对象:0-2年内毕业的应届生,包含2025年。 As a member of Tesla’s vehicle controls team, you will design, simulate, and help implement and calibrate sophisticated algorithms to manage thermal performance of the powertrain, battery-packs, heat pump, and cabin HVAC systems in Tesla’s vehicles. You will be challenged by a wide range of problems like optimal thermal controls of batteries for supercharging, process control for the Tesla heat pump, thermal management of drive systems and power electronics, and even that of occupants through climate control. You will be responsible for crafting and developing industry leading optical calibration and metrology systems for testing optical modules and components (e.g. display panels and much more), during NPI (new product introduction) stage, with the supports from SW/HW multi-functional teams. Initiate, explore, prototype and deploy new technology for module and key optical component testing to support product design and development. Provide technical assessments of vendor capability, tester manufacturing feasibility, and validate and influence supplier’s technical specification to fulfill design requirements and key performance matrix characterization bring up. Define calibration & measurement Engineering Requirement Specification (ERS) for optical instruments and automated systems. Conduct HW/SW validation and FA for metrology instruments and systems. Deep dives in new tester prototyping, FA, scale up through simulation, design of experiments, data analysis and technical benchmarking (Gauge R&R process). Involved in tester related component, module and system level process, design and spec funneling to enable manufacturability in high volume. Champion new technology transfer to manufacturing partners from research/pilot line to ensure scalability. Provide crisp and thorough presentation and report, on subjects listed above. And connect with a broad range of multi-functional teams.
Summary of the position This position in the Camera Engineering Team will focus on new camera development and validation by a variety of new technologies, simulation tools and lab hands-on work. The engineer will provide actionable feedback and test reports to the team members, from design assessment to validation report interpretation for all the camera systems in Tesla’s vehicles. Lab work is a key component of the position especially for the characterization of image quality, optical metrology and camera failure analysis. This role involves collaboration with designers, engineering, manufacturing, commercial teams and requires the ability to distill highly technical information and effectively communicate with other teams and management.
