任职要求

- MS degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Computer Vision or a related technical discipline.
- Experience at least one of:
o Imaging systems or machine vision systems
o Optical bench system build and bring up
o Lens IQC/OQC/Metrology
o Optical design and simulation with Zemax and CODE V
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross function teams to lead and solve technical problems
- Demonstrate a creative approach of critical thinking, enthusiasm for delivering the best product in the industry.
- Be motivated by our mission to build a world of amazing abundance and understand how their work contributes to that goal

Additional skills we are looking for:
- Experience with AI driven new technologies for visions system and image quality tests will be a plus.
- Coding skills with programming language such as Python, Matlab, C++, with experience of digital image processing, data analysis & visualization
- Image quality test experience in R&D side, fundamentals of imaging systems and ability to perform comprehensive image quality characterizations (SFR, through-focus, distortion/camera calibration, color calibration, boresight alignment, etc.)
- Straylight simulation and analysis, understand the root cause for different straylight and mitigation on each type of artifact
- Optical coating design and fabrication, which includes super low reflection AR coating, filter on different geometry and subtract

工作职责

Summary of the position
This position in the Camera Engineering Team will focus on new camera development and validation by a variety of new technologies, simulation tools and lab hands-on work. The engineer will provide actionable feedback and test reports to the team members, from design assessment to validation report interpretation for all the camera systems in Tesla’s vehicles. Lab work is a key component of the position especially for the characterization of image quality, optical metrology and camera failure analysis.
This role involves collaboration with designers, engineering, manufacturing, commercial teams and requires the ability to distill highly technical information and effectively communicate with other teams and management.
