Seeking hard-working analog/ASIC/audio electrical engineers for the Apple Acoustics team. Responsibilities include characterization, implementation and integration of the audio subsystem in Apple products. Primary duties include: qualifying outstanding audio silicon, prototype bring up and debugging, production manufacturing and test support, hardware debug, functional and performance verification, SW/FW verification and signal characterization. The applicant must possess EE fundamentals with a focus on analog and proven grounding on digital electronics. The applicant should be familiar with the audio design of portable low-power products, preferably with experience in a consumer electronics environment dealing with high- volume and high-quality products. Additionally applicant should possess some audio experience with fundamental knowledge of signals and systems.
THE ROLE Tesla is seeking an Audio Engineer within the Infotainment Team who has had 3+ years of design, test, and release responsibility of Audio products. This engineer should have a strong understanding of the design and application of these components within an audio system, and the ability to define, specify and set the requirements for these. This engineer will be a technical and process mentor for other engineers in the team and the company. RESPONSIBILITIES • Support the product development of microphones and other audio system products from inception to end of life • Gain a knowledge of our components and audio systems, relative to a vehicle environment and integration • Perform simulations of these acoustic components, systems, and environments • Work with cross-functional teams to create and/or maintain best-in-class products • Interpret, develop, and manage product data, drawings, requirements and specifications • Work with suppliers on design, development, manufacturing processes and validation of audio products • Plan, execute, interpret, and document a functional audio product validation • Troubleshoot, root cause and provide solutions to component and system level failures
: - Work with software and science teams to create data collection plans and test cases. - Running test cases on devices – such as executing use case scenario based testing - Write, read, run, and develop test scripts in collaboration with developer teams in Python. - Execute test cases, interpret, and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process - Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution. You are responsible for provide the leadership to the sDRI team, to develop and integrate system solutions that is flexible and mass-production friendly to calibrate and inspect fully assembled devices. The team will work on system design, development, and factory deployment during new product introduction (NPI) stage, with the support from SW/HW functional teams. - Manage a team of 5+ engineers with strong leadership and problem solving ability. - Work closely with design engineers, vendors, and operations teams to drive delivery of integrated systems aligned with overall project schedule - Act as lead system integrator, monitoring overall project status & securing / allocations resources needed to succeed - Lead prototype build activities; driving schedule, tracking issues to closure, managing experiments, and reporting progress - Cross-functionally communicate key developments and updates on new projects/products - Drive the day-to-day activities to meet the overall program objectives focusing on process within engineering design, build, and validation cycles
