Amazon Global Selling has been helping individuals and businesses increase sales and reach new customers around the globe. Today, more than 50% of Amazon's total unit sales come from third-party selection. The Global Selling team in China is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazon’s 18 overseas stores, and supporting local sellers’ success and growth on the Amazon. Our vision is to be the first choice for all types of Chinese business to go globally. Amazon's Asia Global Selling Existing Seller Management (ESM) team currently seeks a results oriented Senior Business Program Manager who can learn quickly and build trust with various stakeholders in a dynamically changing environment. In this role, s/he will be a key member of the Asia Global Selling ESM Team, providing critical support to drive greater efficiency, productivity, consistency, scalability, and impact. The successful candidate must be able to work directly, in a hands-on way, with multiple stakeholders and business teams, on multiple programs and projects at one time, as well as provide solutions that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable. S/He needs to be passionate about his/her work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem-solving abilities, as well as superb communication and program/project management skills, and will be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way. The candidate will also be required to deal with highly ambiguous problems, identify root cause, devise and drive towards simple solutions to complex problems. Roles and Responsibilities: • Act as an single owner in ESM team on business domain and own business goal setting and team executions. • Accumulate in-depth Seller learning under each profile and generate business insights to help Sellers grow. • Drive business insights generation and provide guidance to account management team to help generate actionable next steps, and improve account management efficiency. • Co-work with multiple stakeholder / business teams to develop new business initiatives and translate into execution • Structures work flow across the team to effectively implement each workstream & related operational activities • Develop, implement and automate new and existing processes in a standardized and scalable format, while leverage global resources to drive improvement based on local needs whenever possible • Innovate to improve Seller experience via continuously engagement with internal partners to drive business process improvement through deeply data analysis and seller engagement practice
Product Strategy & Management * Define product strategy and roadmap for Global Selling initiatives * Develop and communicate product requirements * Work with internal and external technology teams to develop products and resolve issues * Own product success metrics and continuous improvement * Manage stakeholder relationships and drive data-driven decision making Customer Success & Solution Implementation * Develop and execute launch strategies for new technologies * Coordinate cross-functional implementation and testing * Monitor and optimize customer satisfaction and system performance Technical Leadership & Development * Lead and manage engineering teams in project scoping, planning, and delivery of multiple technical product solutions * Drive technical architecture decisions and implementation of software development life cycle practices * Collaborate with PMs to evaluate the optimal technical solution * Lead solution options evaluation and assist with PMs on vendor management * Oversee coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing * Recruit, mentor, and develop software engineering talent * Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1) Build a high performance, input driven team • Attract, hire and retain top commercial and digital media talent • Provide strong mentoring and coaching to direct reports and commercial representatives • Elevate skillsets and develop bench strength in the organization • Determine short and long-range revenue plans per property, vertical, account, territory, and AE; annual revenue budgets; tactical action plans • Create and implement programs and tools that increase performance by the commercial staff • Develop relationships with key digital media and marketing executives in CN. • Lead the CN team to promote advertising solution for advertisers and customers. 2) Grow revenue • Develop account, and agency coverage strategy for China’s global brands and export industry • Drive strategic relationships with Fortune 500 type clients. Build upon prior success in this area to continue to grow this opportunity. • Drive the commercial management process as well as play a hands-on role in generating leads and opening doors for the commercial organization. • Partner with Amazon Retail and Online Ad Product teams on category and product development strategies • Lead the larger organization of Amazon Advertising for success • Partner brands and support all advertiser education initiatives that will help their advertising on Amazon. 3) Serve as Amazon’s Advertising Industry Ambassador • Responsible for overseeing decision making and strategies for large customers within the Endemic business lines. • Utilize existing client and agency relationships to drive large, long-term deals with top brand advertisers • Represent Amazon at key industry conferences, trade magazines and other speaking events • Drive strategic meetings with senior executives to help set program direction and priorities 4) Drive product innovation through thorough understanding and representation of customer and industry trends/needs to ensure Amazon continues to provide a powerful and differentiated value proposition • Partner with product development to prioritize and build innovative new advertising products to provide a truly better and differentiated advertising business for our customers • Assess potential acquisition or partner targets to expand the program’s reach and scope
- Identify opportunities across the Global Selling Brand growth life cycle, build up new products/services to help the growth and success of Global Selling Brands, define go-to-market strategy and drive the success of the products. - Clearly define and communicate Seller Experience pain points, gain support from internal stakeholders and external partners. - Raise the bar on Seller experience and work with product and tech teams to improve product features. - Work with business and marketing functions to drive go-to-market plan.
