NVIDIA is now looking for an Intern of System Software Engineers for its Autonomous Vehicle teams. As an intern of our team, you will be responsible for assisting senior engineers on developing and maintaining software to drive the car, given various sensor input devices including Camera’s, LIDAR, RADAR, GPS, IMU and others on Vehicle CAN, work with different teams here to transform the information into driving the car with the best experience. You will work with different teams on all sort of challenging problems for autonomous driving including computer vision, deep learning, object tracking, car controlling. You will help build the software and make it work flawlessly and safely on our driving platform. We expect you to have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Solid understanding and strong system software experience is a requirement. Experience with GPU technology, image processing, computer vision, and multimedia are highly valued. Familiarity with deep learning / artificial intelligence is desirable. What you’ll be doing: • Craft the driving application for Autonomous Vehicle products • Solve the real challenging problems in the software with different teams and to drive the car with the best experience • Performance optimization on our driving platforms

• Implement AI/ML models for target detection, collision avoidance and automation control • Control robotics systems with computer vision, 3d camera, machine learning, etc • Develop automation software systems with smart, scalable, and testable code • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional partners to understand requirements and translate them into concrete technical tasks • Work with various sensor modalities (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, etc.) • Stay up to date with the evolving AI/ML landscape and help improve our tools, infrastructure, and practices based on new developments • Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent) for mechanical modeling and fabrication (3D printing, CNC machining, etc.)

The Technology Program Office in Hardware Test Engineering (HWTE) champions technology calibration and test strategy while balancing between quality/customer experience with operational requirements. In this highly cross functional role, we are looking for leaders to engage in early stages of technology development supporting incubation, prototyping, design validation, simulation & metrology development activities, as well as identifying mass production intent solutions. This would require proactively driving alignment and convergence plan with cross functional teams, identifying risks & mitigating them — all while presenting frequently to senior leadership across Apple.
